I think we might have been better in the 2010 group stage you know? -

Would we dominate the ball with Trent playing? His positioning in midfield is shocking -

Nieve Petru predicted that exactly this would happen with Foden. You can probably imagine what a lot of the comments were like at the time -

Pretty confident we'd have been even worse in midfield with Trent there -

Foden's brilliant but I feel like him being on the left is fucking everything up -

That passage of play was like a posh Rafa's Newcastle vs Leicester -

Scotland at the last Euros is the only one that really stands out as truly awful that I can remember. In amongst good performances though as you say. -

I'm confident that history will be rewritten, but this is legit the first tournament under Southgate where we've been shite. -

Anyone ready to admit that Jordan Henderson was a good midfielder yet? -

Foden just always looks absolutely pointless on the left -
If you claim that Israel did something and the response is 'that's anti-Jew' then there's a conflation going on between Israel and Jews.

That element is a conspiracy but it’s a widely popular one because the circumstances, evidence, numerous testimonies, and historical precedent are no less lacking in evidence than verifiably true conspiracies like Iran contra, cointelpro, watergate, paperclip etc. Antisemites will believe it solely because they’re antisemites and it helps their conspiracy theory, but that doesn’t make it the driver for why it's widely believed. In a lot of ways antisemites undermining it only serves for people to be flippant about something that’s very credible.
-
What's antisemitic about it? Maxwell was a Mossad agent, that's not a conspiracy theory or even controversial.

My replacement in large arrived and I'm much happier with it. Was proper chuffed with it, went to see my lass and was like 'Everyone's jealous of my cute little outfit. I know you say I look better in baggier clothes, but you have to admit that this is a better fit in large than it was in extra large' Took one look at me and just went 'no' - like not even a laugh after it. Absolute bitch

Rich by name and yet so poor by nature

If that is the amount they're asking and his contract ends next year they're either deluded or it's shorthand for 'not for sale'

For the sake of argument, if we'd sold Wilson for the same amount we'd bought DCL for (let's say £20m) would the people who don't rate him at all (presumably including his Ancelotti years) still be saying it's a shit deal?
-
Depends on why we've pulled out (if we have) really. Whether it was a great signing or not probably would have come down to the fee, so if they were insistant on the £37m and we've walked away then that's fair enough. Anything below £25m and I think it would have been a good signing.

That's certainly one way of putting it. Another would be when he was playing regularly in a good team, with an excellent manager he scored 15 in 41, at just over 1 in 2 per 90 (a goal every 200 mins), then 21 in 39, at better than 1 in 2 per 90 (a goal every 158 mins) Either side of that he was a kid, then injured and playing in a terrible team. As willing back up strikers go, this is probably as good as it gets
-
We avoided relegation at a canter, were in top 4 form for the entirety of his time here in which he played regularly, but because he's a shite finisher for some that's all that's relevant.

Rightly so, and tbf, it's not just the Gordon stick, it's the Pope stick, what's looking likely to be the Hall stick, what could be the Barnes stick and to an extent the Livramento stick. Meanwhile, some of the players this forum has had the most clamour for since the takeover: Lodi, Paqueta, Maddison, Diaby, Targett, Szbozslai, Minteh. Hardly a list of players who've gone on to all-star status. Pope and especially Gordon should have been lessons in humility for our fans, but nah, so many just jumping straight back head first into the assertion over Howe's nose for talent that Calvert-Lewin is bang average and Minteh's a wonderkid.

Some of our fans are mental and never learn a single lesson do they?
