Yes they did Ian

It's inexcusable man. Absolute bouquet of nobheads, the lot of them.

I think you'll come around if things carry on like they have for a long while now, but hopefully not. Re stopping us signing him: And the Ornstein tweet above, as usual we try and do things on cheap and finally reach the fee far far too late, there's a pattern.
-
Or signed him when we had a free run at any point in the last 2 years... I can see you abandoning this hardline perspective in time because it's only getting worse, the club is nowhere near blameless.

Newcastle's belief in a transfer happening vs the reality is roughly akin to my 3 year old's belief in Santa vs the reality.
-
We are the only common denominator in about 10 failed transfers involving us this summer.
-
I'm talking about when he was at Watford, not Brighton. Definitely true.
-
Straw that broke camel's back for me. See you all in a bit, gonna attempt to stay off here altogether until someone is signed/the season starts. Absolutely pathetic embarrassment from start to finish all this, they want shot with shit.

Yeah I've come out of worse ones but we went into them with that expectation. The chasm between the expectation and reality on this one is gargantuan
-
Worst transfer window in my living memory like. The intent is there but the execution and the amount of Ls is insane
-
He's an absolute fucking joke. literally minutes apart
-
Ekitike absolutely, he's made us look mugs. Pedro on the other hand was us pulling the plug previously and instead signing Isak.
-
This current setup is because he left at the start of the window, we haven't replaced him yet.
-
Mitchell was our DoF working on deals last summer, by his own admission. He apparently promised Howe Guehi then couldn't get it done. It being bad for ages doesn't really line up with the windows and who was running them.
-
2 years ago we signed Tonali, Livramento, Hall, Barnes etc. That was the last summer window before he came in and It was working, yes. Since then the transfer windows we've had were overseen by him, or we've had no DoF because he's left at the last minute.
-
All of the players we've failed to get over the line from seemingly dead-cert positions, Brentford being tough negotiators and extracting maximum value. Then the circumstances - they've already lost their manager, Mbeumo and Norgaard.
-
All the evidence and the circumstances basically.
-
He's not solely to blame, but the idea that he gets to say what is and isn't fit for purpose is a joke. Our transfer policy was working very well until he arrived.
