Of all the Newcastle players who left for big money, most of them never amounted to anything, but I think without the injuries Jose Enrique would have been world class at Liverpool.
-
I'm generally on the other side of things where I don't see what a player is going to become (Kane) so it's a pretty short list. Phil Foden. Some might say he already is, but I thought he was going to be better than he has been, maybe he still will.
-
Paulinha was brilliant in that like, textbook 10/10 performance for that position
-
Aww, how unfortunate. ?
-
100%. Some Arsenal fans claim they didn't win the league because of Jesus being injured, Man City are regularly undone when they're without Rodri or KDB, we've essentially had to play nearly the same depleted 11 for 2 months.

It's night and day man, Cabaye has so many people wearing rose tinted glasses like. He was good, but nowhere near Bruno's level whatsoever.
-
Until I watch them and they look like they have enough energy back to win matches. I know what it looks like when they're full of energy and what it looks like when they don't. Until they give me a reason not to, I trust those players enough to know that when they don't look like they're full of energy it's not because of a lack of effort or application. Having upto 14 players out over a lengthy period is season defining, for some teams just having 1 or 2 players out can be.

Bruno doesn't play the same role as those 2 like, hence us being after Kalvin Phillips.
-
Honestly, it's the first half of 94/95 and longevity that has Lee ahead. In terms of actual technical ability as a footballer it's already Bruno for me, he just needs to check a few things off the list before I can say he's the best midfielder we've had.
-
Unless the expectation is to never have a bad performance, I can and will like.
-
It makes no sense though. The list of players you say he's not better than peaked with the likes of us and Leeds, they didn't go on to Real Madrid or Barca and hardly any of them won anything. The only player that went to a top tier club was Cabaye and he wasn't a patch on Bruno. Rob Lee is the only player who I still think was better for us at this moment in time.

How in the absolute fuck was there 10 minutes added on?
-
Big fan of MGW like, didn't take long for him to go from insanely priced to absolute bargain
-
That can't be the same 'keeper we faced?
-
You'd think so like. Still hasn't stopped some from describing Boxing Day as like under Bruce/Ashley.
-
Very simple that. Who's supposed to be tracking him?
-
That spin by Gibbs-White was proper Rick James-esque
-
It's in the post though I think.
-
Lads, look over there, TCD is slagging off the football hipsters that he definitely isn't one of.
-
No disputing that, it's just the bit about him being elevated above others that for me makes him overrated in the all time stakes, despite still being brilliant.
-
Like when he headbutted Masseratti? Even taking the point, even if he was a big game player, he's still always elevated above those who did it when it most mattered and did it when it wasn't as do or die e.g Iniesta, Modric

I knew the fanbase would become more expectant and move away from 'a team that tries' ethos, but the transformation we've had in the space of 2 years is enough to give you whiplash. No-one should have short enough memories of the previous 14 years to then watch our worst performances under Howe and say they were like an Ashley era performance, that's just absolutely mental. What bad Ashley era match do you remember Newcastle losing while dominating possession and every player putting in 100%? Honestly man. If anything, our poor performances and losses are much nearer to some of the kamikaze football under Keegan than anything.
-
Have to admit I'm getting increasingly angry at even the notion of there being a question that needs to be answered on Howe within the fanbase. I find it utterly pathetic, beyond fickle, and really disloyal from people who are essentially clueless armchair pundits like the rest of us. Some fans seem to be desperate to be seen as realists by insisting that no matter what the circumstances, the buck stops with the manager, and that bringing up the obvious circumstances that have played a massive part in our downturn in form is being soft and a mug or something. No one thinks you're Gordon Gekko for questioning the manager, you're just a try hard nobody. Howe is the best thing that has happened to this club in decades, not the owners. Frankly anyone questioning him is not only a complete idiot, but their sense of loyalty also isn't worth a jot.

Aye, forgot about game 7 again. Still think 5th is doable but it'll take a lot.
