West Ham 1 up. Honestly not too fussed about our own position at the moment, that'll take care of itself. Absolutely hate Arsenal, Arteta and their awful fans now though so anything bad happening to them is therefore objectively good and funny.

I'm biased but mine and Big River's are better

He seems to be sought after so it's a bit like Gordon 12 months ago - I don't see it but there must be something about him I'm missing.

Bluey Kulesevski mate you can't go around pulling people's shirts, they won't like it

Great from Joao Pedro

Hard to know what he's like now vs pre-Man City. Many a player over the years has gone to teams at the top when their stock is high and never been the same player after. The good sign with Phillips is that on the rare occasions he has made appearances, including recently, he's looked decent, or in the case of for England against Scotland, really good.

A lot of similarities aye, although in 94-95 a lot of it felt like it was down to Cole's form dipping, then he went AWOL and then he went to Man United.

Now look up how language evolves

It makes sense to ignore it if their actual form shows they're a midtable team and even with a 10 point deduction they're still above the relegation zone with half a season to go. It'll take some slump and upturn to finish below any of that bottom 3

I can't get over Caicedo's transfer fee, he plays like a complete idiot whenever I see him.

Phillips has that Maddison/Tierney feel about it for me. Loads of smoke but maybe no fire
-
They sold Jesus to Arsenal like. They might not think we're a threat but it doesn't always work out that way.
-
He's not really like that, but not unlike a lot of other fan channel members, he talks bollocks.
-
There's no gotcha here, saying as his injury means we have no idea whether he was a good signing or not yet.
-
Aye but you can't realistically plan for a player with an exemplary injury record breaking his toe and being out for 4 months like. You can definitely say if we'd signed X player we'd have been better off in hindsight, but I don't think there's any foresight that the club didn't have but should have had for the situation we're in. There's no player where you think 'well we should have seen that coming' imo.
-
Nothing's changed with my view on our last transfer window. There's no extra 1 or 2 players we could have realistically signed that would mitigate the injury and suspension situation we find ourselves in.
-
Not true. A few have mentioned that if we lose to Sunderland he should go, or that he will lose their support/the crowd. Properly mental AFAIC. Also plenty of posts about how the fatigue and injuries 'excuse' is wearing thin.

On a game by game basis, ie horses for courses.

05/06 but aye it was awful.

Yeah, it was when we were playing Huntington, Patterson, Ramage. Ironically Dyer was available IIRC the injuries weren't anywhere near as long lasting as the ones we've had with Barnes, Murphy, Pope, Burn, Willock, Botman, and then Wilson, Isak, Joelinton, Longstaff being in and out. It's crazy.

There have been so many times over the last couple of years that Howe has put out a left field team that had everyone scratching their heads, only for it to work perfectly. Back 5 and Bruno are the only certain starters with everyone available.

I've read some rubbish on here over the years. This is right up there.
