Silver lining is that it's not a 'gutted' situation. We didn't have the heartbreak of a last minute PSG winner or a terrible ref decision or something to rob us tonight. We've had some great memories in this competition, one of them up there with the best in my time supporting the club, and we've robbed ourselves with that second half. Also pretty shit to see a lot of the crowd not stay behind to applaud the lads. A very long way to go and should be 2-0 but excellent effort and application. Joelinton scoring the right footed Cisse vs Chelsea goal was incredible. To the untrained eye that Tomori last ditch tackle was unbelievable, but obviously we know what they don't, Miggy refuses to use his right foot, seemingly right down to being 20cm in front of goal, but not right down to the right foot crosses he attempted twice not long after.

Yet we bought Burn precisely because we desperately needed an immediate upgrade at CB. Burn came in and everyone raved about his performances at CB in 21/22. Lascelles has stepped in admirably in Botman's absence but he's no Dan Burn.

Are you mad? Burn is a much better player and defender than Lascelles

It's unfashionable to rate Burn, but people seem to act like he either wasn't a mainstay in one of best defenses in a team that finished 4th last season, or that he had little to do with it.
