  1. A result completely of our own making. How fucking naive can you be to rest on a 1-0 against Liverpool like that? Were our players born yesterday? It was obvious that they'd definitely get a chance, in the end they had 3 and scored 2. Absolutely baffling lack of game management to do that. Drawing would have been bad enough, but to completely throw it away like that with a goal and man advantage is unbelievable from a team that has never played in that way at any point since Howe became manager. When do we ever just knock it about like that and not go for the kill? Just completely out of the ordinary, weird and stupid. Pope: 6 Trippier: 7.5 Botman: 6 Schär: 6 Burn: 6 Joelinton: 7.5 Bruno: 5 Tonali: 7 Gordon: 8 Isak: 5.5 Almiron: 6
  2. Maybe the hype on here lead me expect two outrageously bad decisions, but having just watched it on MOTD now, I didn't think it was that bad. The red was a red, Rashford's pen was unbelievably soft but it was in the 'they're usually given' category for me. I thought Arsenal being allowed to score after Saka had fouled and injured a Fulham player trying to get a penalty was the real travesty.
  3. This felt like a meme in real time like.
  4. He's the real deal like. If Foden can get to where we thought he was going to get to then England are a serious team.
  5. The end of 07/08 was genuinely great. Reading at home sticks in mind as being a very Keegan performance especially. Mad how excited I was for the next season and then Jonas's performance against Man United. Keegan with us then is an interesting hinge point. Like if he'd had the Man City money some of us were thinking he'd have, what might he have done.
  6. Why do I feel like our rivals are getting paid off for the incoming £36 million bid for Matt Ritchie.
  7. Has there ever been a bigger downgrade for us than Cabaye to Colback? I remember people on here (understandably) swearing blind that he was going to be backup and we'd get a proper replacement

    Isaac Hayden

It's funny because Hayden is exactly the type of player I could have seen Howe's Bournemouth signing a few years ago. I liked him, Rafa saw something in him as well, so it's a shame he wasn't along for this ride. Hope he does well wherever he goes.
  9. I wonder if Boumsong would have been good under Robson instead of Souness. Stranger things have happened
  10. That 08/09 midfield is the worst I've seen like. The defence was actually pretty dam good they were just constantly exposed
  11. Obertan is the most confidence player I think I've ever seen. Build up his confidence and he could take on the world, fail to pass him the salt and he'd miss tap ins for fun.
  12. Aye, really liked him as well. One of the underrated players (along with Ruel Fox imo) from the Keegan era. What a time man, we were truly blessed.
  13. Even Malcolm Allan tbh, he was quality. He's low down in the Keegan striker tier list, probably above Mathie and Huckerby. Still though, the Ashley era showed me what shit strikers truly look like and Kitson was excellent compared to Xisco, Riviere etc
  14. His miss from about a yard out against Forest in 94/95 is probably the most I've ever abused a player. In my mind it's worse the De Jong miss.
  15. Quite enjoying a Chelsea reject bossing a midfield that cost 200 odd million
  16. He wasn't, but I came to learn when I was a bit older that he wasn't bad either.
  17. Don't actually think Luton are that bad. Chelsea look totally ordinary
  18. I remember when I was 10 and having been completely spoiled by Micky Quinn, David Kelly and Andy Cole, stupidly thought Paul Kitson was absolutely terrible.
  19. Love how the title has immediately changed to him just being at Southampton on loan. Just proper gaslighting anyone who comes on here having not seen the news. Fraser is at Southampton on loan. He's always been at Southampton on loan.
  20. I was thinking they're trying to have their own Isak. Similar channel runs and positions he picks up without being a patch on him.
  21. An XI that only makes sense if you're like 26 years old
  22. If it's true that Saudi want their clubs to join the Champions League ala Israel and Australia in the Eurovision, then it's not as unrealistic as it sounds.
  23. Lovely goal from Raheem the dream
  24. Tories are cunts. Next week: rocket science
  25. One under my head, one between my knees, sometimes a throw pillow to hug. It's more of a posture thing though, it's better for your neck, shoulders and pelvis.
