It's a shame that some people miss out, but in a situation where someone is going to miss out, should it be you or the person who hasn't missed an away game in 20 years?
-
You're demonstrably not compared to some others though. We have fans who literally haven't missed matches home or away for years. They're obviously much more committed to attending matches than you or me.
-
Loyalty in this context is the wrong term anyway. They're not more loyal fans, but it's undeniable that some are more committed to attending matches and supporting (ie not just watching). That's all. Some conflate doing that with being a better, more loyal fan, which is wrong, but I do think those people should be rewarded for their commitment by getting first refusal on tickets based on a points system.
-
Do you think that's who does this?
-
You might be having your canon moment re our fans tbh I think there are a canny few on here that had that during Hull at home in 2014.

I imagine they'd say something about the lift, but in a world where fan's are customers you're probably right on that one as well.

It wouldn't surprise me if they're either breaking existing legislation on accessibility or they'd be liable if anyone took it further. They're essentially discriminating.
-
As realistic outcomes go I can't imagine anything more hateful than that situation like.

Football (and society) has far too many I'm Alright, Jacks. It was the case when that Charlotte lass was saying the ticket prices were too high as well imo.

You say clouded by bias, I say influenced by the piling evidence. Agree to disagree for now, we'll pick it back up when something like this happens again

Like I've said tons of times, offer another narrative and I'll listen. I've only made up my mind about the whole 'it'll help people who can't afford to go to games' argument being a fantasy because everything points towards the opposite being true. Fans being priced out is not a unique criticism of the club's owners, it's a problem with football in general.
-
The same people in charge of this ill-thought out shit show with ticketing, seating allocations, memberships, and pricing fans out of their seats are the same people who'd be in charge of it after a stadium expansion. Of course it's related, it's directly related.
-
At least it has (hopefully) very quickly put a pin in the argument put forward for how a new stadium would be good for the working class.

The club shop is a shambles as well. Only small and medium home shirts and a sign written in biro at the till (that you won't see until you're at the front of the queue) saying they've ran out of O, L, K, R lettering. Our Korl is devastated.

Sustainability isn't a factor, they're richer than God. That fee is chump change.

So pathetic

Because time wasting no longer technically exists in that system. Players are free to go down, slow down play and break momentum as much as they want because the time will be added. And that's the main reason for it - breaking the opposition's momentum, not time wasting. What we have now is a game that is already on average 50-60 minutes long, so what's the point. To give Man City (currently the only team in the league averaging 60 minutes) another advantage. All in the name of yet more the same fairness (pedantry and officiousness) that I'd guess the majority of football fans are sick to the back teeth of.
-
So no point then saying as that's what we currently have on average. It's a short-sighted idea that will actually encourage time wasting and is no doubt a project for advertisers.
-
Unless you're proposing 30 minute halves (in which case, what's the point?) then yes, they absolutely would.
-
And it's not an exaggeration to say that night time games that would normally end at say 10pm would result in huge swathes of people leaving early if it meant missing the last chance of getting home
-
Yes, especially if you don't live in and around the cities.
