  1. It's unreal how naive we are against teams using gamesmanship considering how much we do it ourselves
  2. Obvious where this is going if we don't wise up immediately
  3. We should be playing against 9 men like, ref's still a cunt
  4. Was so fucking obvious we'd need another and they're passing it about in the corner like there was 2 minutes left
  5. They should be down to 9 men like, fucking hell
  6. The main issue with Isak wide for me is that it also takes away from the Joelinton and Willock partnership and the best parts of their game.
  7. Very low quality half and we're very lucky to be in this position. Hopefully the players realise that and they sort themselves out. For all the talk of missing Longstaff and the change in system, it's very basic sloppiness from too many players that's the main issue for me. It got better as the half went on, but if we can sort that out it'll make all the difference. Imo Leeds will score again so we need to get our hands around this like we did as the game wore on at Everton.
  8. Howe furiously smashing right on the d-pad at kick off following a loss.
  9. Yeah, this is essentially it for me. It can't be overstated just how much Gerrard carried that Liverpool team around 2005, I've never seen that (maybe because we've not needed to see it) from De Bruyne.
  10. I still can't believe he scored his pen. Unreal how useless he was throughout the World Cup
  11. Once bitten, twice shy maybe. He's often accused of overthinking things and making the wrong calls in these big CL matches.
  12. Surprised by that, I thought you'd love him. Not a fan when we're playing them, but he's a crease against everyone else
  13. Carvajal going down. Pathetic cunt
  14. I honestly never thought they were a particularly great team when they won it three times in a row tbh, but they obviously were. This team completely take the piss though, they seem to win on sheer will and stubbornness alone because I rarely see them be the better team in these big matches.
  15. Yeah, that's just one of the few unintended consequences that'll imo make things even worse for little to no reward.
  16. It's mad how Real Madrid aren't actually any good but continue to win in the CL like
  17. That's below my quality/interest threshold like Might have to actually do something productive instead.
  18. Why is it absolutely necessary? What do you think it solves? As someone who's so vehemently against VAR I thought you would have seen this as another 'correction' than creates more problems than it solves.
  19. I'm in my absolute element with how much football is on at the moment like. The only disappointment is Friday.
  20. Sorry, I meant Adam Campbell In all seriousness by the time I'm 60 Adam Armstrong, Adam Cambell, and Elliott Anderson will all just be one player in my dementia-riddled mind.
  21. Personally I'd be looking to replace Longstaff as much like-for-like as we can without moving anyone else around from our established team. Moving Joelinton into midfield from the left makes us lose something from both him and from Willock and it also hasn't really solved the problem we have as yet. Personally think playing Isak and Wilson together is showing your hand too early, if the opposition deal with it, there's no headroom for us to take it up a level from the bench. Wilson or if it's more suitable Isak from the bench feels like a better way of doing it. I'd go with the standard back 5 and: Gordon?/Anderson? Bruno Willock Murphy Isak/Wilson Joelinton
  22. Leeds 1-1 Newcastle Villa 1-1 Spurs Chelsea 2-1 Forest Palace 2-1 Bournemouth Man United 2-0 Wolves (double) Southampton 1-2 Fulham Brentford 2-2 West Ham Everton 1-3 Man City Arsenal 2-0 Brighton Leicester 2-3 Liverpool Newcastle 1-1 Brighton
  23. It's useful as a long term indicator I think. I find it often backs up a feeling you have about a team or match when you watch them that you maybe can't explain. eg we were still good and creating chances in that dry spell before the cup final so there wasn't much need to worry, or that Brentford aren't actually all that good and it probably won't last. Remember our 4-1 home loss to Fulham that everyone says was a weird match we should have won? The xG for that would have backed that up.
