The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
Kid Icarus replied to Rich's topic in Football
Sorry, what I mean is whether you attribute the upswing to a new manager or the old one leaving or whatever else, the fact that there is an upswing means it doesn't really matter all that much and any factor you choose to to attribute to the upswing isn't necessarily a myth, if that makes sense. -
Read from page 191 if you want a good laugh. Sorry, just posting this now to save me doing it this time next year.

So then no difference in outcome. -
Definitely not Trippier. He's up there as one of the best in the league for chances created from set pieces.
-
No one would be criticising him if Schär Botman and Burn weren't all absolutely shocking at finishing.
-
2-0 Man United as expected. They've been average at best, but haven’t needed to be good. Wolves have nothing at all going forward.
-
It's hard to believe that Wolves have ever scored a goal
-
Very much doubt it. Wolves' keeper Bentley has made a few great saves.
-
One on one with De Gea who fucks up, then they end up waiting for every Man United player to get back in position then almost knocking it out of play passing to a player on the halfway line.
-
Wolves are fucking useless going forward
-
Forest will surely lose. They could be 3 up away with 10 minutes left and I wouldn't bet on them.
-
Sure thing nerd
-
My main gripe is that Firpo wasn't sent off for the pen and their 'keeper didn't get a second yellow for trying to put off Wilson. Both poor non-decisions, especially the Firpo one.

I'm watching it, probably not

Completely different type of pressure. Down there you're given more rope by other teams, up here the likes of Liverpool when they smell blood aren't going to give you any. -

I think it's even more mad that people seemingly just completely ignore that Liverpool are a been-there-done-that team in these high pressure situations and it's all new to us. -
Come on you Wolverhamptons
-
Highly emotional situation isn't it. I find the lol bedwetters/there's absolutely nothing to worry about craic just as tiresome as the hysteria like.

Mad game like. A win and I'd be on 9 or 10 A loss and I'd be on 3 or 4 A draw and I'm still on 6.5 One thing's for sure though, the performances need to improve immediately. I've heard so many times "if we play like we did against Arsenal..." in a positive way, but I thought we were poor then too tbh and obviously first half against Southampton too. -
Agree. That passage of play where Gordon, Bruno, and Trippier were just knocking it about like there was 2 minutes left against a team with nothing to play for was really stupid.

A result that should hopefully instill some humility in the naive assertions that good team beats bad team when it gets to this stage of the season. Teams are battling, nerves set in, and everything's chaotic, nothing is straightforward or a given. Honestly, a good point and a bad point imo. So many offshoots from that result where we were lucky to get a point, naive when we were ahead, and robbed by the ref as well. I'll take it as a positive result in the context of a poor performance where we could have easily lost. Outside of that context and having been 2-1 up, it's poor though. You have to target our two home matches now Pope: 10 Tripper: 4 Schar: 6 Botman: 6 Burn: 5 Bruno: 5 Joelinton: 5 Willock: 6 Almiron: 5.5 Wilson: 8 Isak: 7

Too close imo
