Kid Icarus replied to HaydnNUFC's topic in Football
They've scored from one set piece this season, so not really. It was against us, but it's not one of their strengths -
Worst match I've seen this season
-
Fabinho yet again not being sent off when he should
-
It feels like this Chelsea Liverpool match has been on for 48 hours
-
Any team without Beardsley is a disgrace
-
Havertz man. Celebrating knowing that he handled it
-
Definitely. And it's mad that the 5-1 vs Brentford was the opposite where it didn't feel like we had many obvious chances.
-
Fabinho is fucking bulletproof when it comes to cards, it's unbelievable

He looked class when they won the Champions League
-
I don't mind Liverpool

Feel dirty wanting Chelsea to win like

It's a two way street tbf, if referees want to be treated as authority figures, more like rugby refs are, then fair enough, do it. But if at the same time nothing's done about the shocking standard of refereeing and they all continue to back each other up, telling us that the black millions can see with their own eyes is white, then it's wishful thinking because fans, pundits, and pros aren't going to respect them or think they deserve respect when it isn't given to them. Authority figures can't just be given unchecked power.
-
I take the point that they sort of need to make an example of players in these situations, but I also think that as a byproduct referees seem like even more untouchable (figuratively and literally) overprotected power whores than they already are when in situations like this it's really disproportionate and arguably inconsistent (Fernandes on the linesman) If they want to make an example of Mitrovic, fine, but I think it's not going to be completely without negative consequences that'll slap them in the face re the whole 'respect' thing imo.

Would love to watch these but it looks like Twitter is broken
-
He constantly tries to rewrite a history in which he had a spine like
-
ASM robbed imo, but pretty good nonetheless. His XIs are usually about right.

I don't think you will be like. I don't listen to TFS anymore, but he often seemed like he couldn't be arsed with their shit patter. Tifo and TFS should merge really, they're essentially the same show with the same craic for whoever it is that enjoys it.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League

79 points and finishing 4th is wild like. That wins the league in 96/97, 97/98, 98/99 and gets second plenty of times even recently. -
Can the people who've already paid not just get an image? I've already paid £30, do I really need to spend another £20 just to see our names? Seems a bit shan.

Yeah, I’ve seen it plenty on here and elsewhere online. Some people seem to have a preference for sounding clueless over ever giving him credit. I was watching All With Smiling Faces earlier and Chris, who’s normally the most level-headed on there said that he completely lost his shit with the people around him at SJP on Sunday who were constantly slagging ASM off, even to the extent of blaming him for Burn not passing him the ball and then losing it Anyone watching his performance on Sunday and slagging him when he’s got an assist, created at least 3 other situations that should have been assists, and beat their full back all game, really stretches the concept of everyone being entitled to their opinion to the limit like. I’d say it’s not even really their opinion – they’re either not watching or have an agenda. As Dekka on the podcast said though, we’ve had this for years, whether it’s ASM, Ben Arfa, Robert, Ginola – any player with a bit of skill seems to invite the ire of a section of our fans and it doesn’t matter how good they are, how good their end product is, how often they do the things they claim they don’t (in ASM’s case tracking back and pressing) they’ll never give them credit and would prefer to have a grafter who produces nothing. Obviously that doesn’t mean all criticism of ASM is unfair, in case it’s misunderstood as that by anyone reading.
