I said it a while ago, but I think some people might end up coming to the realisation (or maybe they won't) that their happiness isn't tied to Newcastle in the way that they thought it was and that they're actually just unhappy. If you can't feel positive now (ignoring the off-the-field issues anyway) about the club, I'm not sure if you ever will.

Some weird revisionism going on considering it was only 7 months ago. The plan was Carlos and Botman, we then went for Burn and now we have Botman. If anything it all points to Burn having been the alternative to Carlos, which is absolutely fine. Not even sure what the issue is considering Burn was cheap and has been outstanding.

Would be amazing if he could get in the England squad like. He's definitely got consistency and defensive nous in his favour. Would probably take an injury to Chilwell or Shaw to give him a really good chance (similar to the opening Burn potentially has) and he'd need to step up a bit, but it's within his capabilities.

I love him. He's such a likeable bloke. Lodi looks incredible, but as daft as it might sound, I'd rather feel the connection with a player that's not as good. It's what it's all about for me.
