Cornet's a weird one because I think if he was coming directly from Lyon without Burnley somehow having been inbetween, everyone would be pretty happy with that. Cornet's in the Sarr and Harrison category for me. Not at the level we originally were looking at, but a step down that will still likely improve us significantly enough that it'll make a difference.

I can't stand stats like that, not least because they often backfire and hint at the opposite of what they're trying to prove. eg high up in terms of carries to shot involvements paired with low assists and goals suggests towards a player having no end product.

I don't think it reads anything like that. There are people disagreeing with each other on what this means based on what they either understand or think they understand, but for the most part I think most of us don't know what any of this really means either way.

On paper Everton's signings look pretty bad so far imo.
