Chris Wood is tearing this family apart

Just used this - https://www.twtd.co.uk/league-tables/competition:premier-league/daterange/fromdate: compared 1st Jan 2022 to now gives you 38 games, then just compared that with the final 95/96 table.

See, that just reads like suspect #3 who's being interrogated by Vera
-
Tbf, it's regularly cited as the hardest accent to do and I'd say that's the case when writing as well. There are actors and actresses from around here who can't do it properly
-
Aye, I didn't want to go as far as drawing a comparison with that
-
It would be pretty interesting like. Mike reads to me like the theatre kid trying to ham up the Geordie accent in Byker Grove though. Tbf, that's pretty good going.

I'd hazard a guess that its because people genuinely don't think he was a bad signing and don't feel the need to admit to anything. £25m was too much obviously, in that sense it's a bad signing, but his impact on the team at the time was pretty clear to see at the time imo.

I lived in the Sunderland catchment area of Killingworth, but turned my back on them once I saw the full majesty of Micky Quinn's tache.

The more you look into the stats, the more unbelievable it is like. Our rolling 38 game total is 76 points. That's with a team that regularly starts with 6 of the Rentford Rejects that were available under Bruce (Schar, Longstaff, Willock, Joelinton, Almiron, Wilson) and who Howe has turned, to a man, into high performing top-end Premier League players in one way or another. The 95/96 team, Keegan's dream team (minus Shearer) that included Beardsley, Ginola, Ferdinand, Lee, Batty, Asprilla, Albert, Beresford - a team of superstars that multiple generations of Newcastle fans have in their all-time XIs - the high watermark where the crest of the wave broke? +2 points +2 GD Rolling 38 games Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts 4 Newcastle United 38 22 10 6 58 31 +27 76 95/96 Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts 2 Newcastle United 38 24 6 8 66 37 +29 78

Tbf, you're still here. Most of the posters who were talking shite then you never see posting anymore.

We currently have 3 more points than Man United had at this stage in 95/96 No, I won't let it go.

He could have called Mike Ashley a cunt every single day, it doesn't change the fact that he took the job with open arms and his eyes wide open. Rafa might have been naive to think that if he showed Ashley what success could look like he'd change. Bruce went in knowing what had happened, got more money out of Ashley than anyone, admitted that he was just keeping the club "ticking over", and still massively struggled

Really pitiful from Wolves like. No desire at all
-
Wolves are so fucking boring it's unreal
-
Keita's such a nothing player like, never got anywhere near the potential he was supposed to have
-
I wonder if that's something Pope will have to look out for with being a sweeper 'keeper. That's twice in the last week I've seen goals like that.
-
Why is it still happening?
-
Isn't the whole thing with Man United not that they don't need an Arab state to compete? That their profitability can comfortably fund them to the same level as them? After all, they've had the Glazer's pilfering money out yet have still spent just as much as anyone.
-
I'm sure you think you're being level-headed there, but it's only because you can't see the chips on both your shoulders. They've won 2 in 16, anyone would get the spotlight on them for that. Their overall record is almost identical to Leicester's. Rodgers, an FA Cup winner and Premier League runner up has had much more jip than Marsch.

He'll have been asked about it specifically i reckon. If you ever see him as a guest on any of the many podcasts he goes on, that's how it tends to work. He gets asked if he's heard anything or what his feeling is on transfers about specific players.

A familiar face around here! Hadn't realised Billy had his own channel.

I think I might be addicted to looking at the Premier League table. I can't stop. Absolutely mad to think that this time last year I was doing exactly the same thing, trying to path our way to survival and now I'm trying to path our way to Champions League qualification. It's one of those things where I wish I could have known that future at the time and felt the full impact of how insane the revolution has been. It's the inverse boiled frogs thing for me at the moment, each week we're good, we perform, and we often get a result and I celebrate that on its own, but the overall position we're in hasn't kicked in yet, even though I know that it's insane.
