  1. Probably wrong, but I feel like the last time there was a title race, top 4 race, and relegation battle going this late into the season was 11/12
  2. Even the England version of him? Easy to say like, his Man United form is terrible, but I do wonder about a few of the players there and what they'd be like in a healthier environment
  3. Just throwing this out there purely for the crack, but if we had the possibility of getting the England version out of him... ...Harry Maguire?
  4. The likening of Everton to the Mackems is honestly the most ridiculously big and unwitting compliment you could pay to the Mackems like. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Everton_F.C. Go to the honours.
  5. Him and Bowen have been the driving force behind West Ham getting within a shout of the top 4 imo like. So much more to a player than their on the ball ability as well. Class at the Euros as well. Every chance he goes to Man United or somewhere else and flops though.
  6. So pleased we can just watch this with our piƱa coladas like
  7. Typical, the one time I would have enjoyed a Chelsea win
  8. It wasn't, the ref gave a yellow. Just bare in mind that the ref who wasn't going to give the red against Brentford until VAR told him to, was on VAR duty himself in our match yesterday
  9. He's looking old old now like
  10. Similar circumstances. No intent to harm, genuine attempt to go for/shield the ball, had every right to go for it, but endangers Targett and goes studs down on Targett's ankle. Mane's is the same for me except that he goes studs down on Dubravka's thigh/knee
  11. I don't get what you're not seeing? Do you think the red card on Matt Targett away to Brentford was a red?
  12. It doesn't really matter because it comes under reckless play and endangering your opponent. Totally agree that if that's on anyone except the 'keeper, everyone's rightly calling for a red.
  13. Abstract is far better than any attempt at realism. Absolutely love the Millburn one, but then Shearer looks like The Head from Art Attack and SBR looks a bit cartoonish.
  14. I thought I'd originally guessed Norwich, Leeds, Everton, but it was Norwich, Brentford, Leeds. Going Norwich, Watford, Everton if Everton lose today.
  15. Aw aye it's standard crack for opinions to go for one pole to the other like that. I'm just saying that it's fine margins and not something to give up on.
  16. I agree he definitely still needs to improve like, but that's fine imo because he already is improving. There were times earlier in the season where he'd always ignore Targett on the overlap or not play that first time pass to Joelinton against Wolves and I'd be tearing my hair out, he's improved and will hopefully continue to improve. His shooting especially at the moment is bizarre though, he keeps seeming to scuff shots at 3mph with his instep, if he could sort that out it would cover for his sons while he's improving.
  17. What a ridiculously simplistic way of looking at things. With that mindset, the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Jonathan Woodgate, Gini Wijnaldum, Jermaine Defoe, Michael Carrick, or indeed Lucas Digne, Coutinho, Ward-Prowse, Kalvin Phillips would never have been good enough for teams fighting at the top of the table. Targett is absolutely a top 8 left back, easily.
  18. Even if you don't like him, you don't let players leave for nothing.
  19. For me his final shot or pass has been poor since he returned from injury and that's what's forming people's opinions of him, which is fair enough. I don't think much else about his game has gotten worse though, in fact it's got better in some areas. If he can sort his end product out, people will miraculously start saying he's a a world beater again imo.
  20. The thing that I don't get is that imo he's clearly started passing it more, particularly to Targett on the overlap or to whoever's running through the middle, yet it's coincided with more people claiming he plays for himself.
  21. Jena's reckons we didn't turn up. Fair play like, he'd know.
  22. Was just about to say it was usually fine when I used to go then remembered that I'm old now and I haven't been in like 7 years.
