I love the idea that Spurs fans can't believe what they're seeing. It's what they see every time they look in the mirror, it should be on their crest in Latin ffs.

I love Spurs so much

The choices aren't alcoholic or fully functioning alcoholic though. Not everyone who drinks has a problem. You have to remember as well Stifler, it's not 'us' who are the odd ones out here. While we absolutely have societal issues with alcohol, world-wide Saudi are in the minority as far as drinking culture is concerned and I wouldn't necessarily say it's moved the needle for them in terms of any kind of progressive ambitions...
-
That doesn't really correlate, the complaint isn't specifically about drinking in stadiums (you can't drink in stadiums in the UK either despite drinking being legal) The complaint is about not being able to drink at all.

It is about liberty. All of what you've said obviously has merit on an individual basis and I'm sure rings true with a lot of other people too, but it also shouldn't mean that everyone's relationship with something has to change to the extent that they have their liberty completely denied. The vast majority of people who drink and enjoy drinking don't have a problem with it, and those that do (or don't) aren't going to change by being denied it. Just look at what happened during prohibition, or our current relationship with illegal drugs.

I would very much beg to differ, but it's for another thread really.

The cult of thinking that when it comes down to it, Eddie Howe has shown himself to know better than some fickle know-nowt gobshites on Twitter. The same cult there was when the same nonsense happened under Rafa.
-
You could say the same thing about a whole host of other things that you're not personally interested in and find more important. At the end of the day it comes down to where you draw a line on liberty.

Yeah there's a decent chance we're talking about different discussion like. Yeah, I can definitely get on board with that mindset, but chemistry and all that comes into it as well I suppose. Tonali on that right side was such a waste, I'm pleased that we now seem to have found a solution that brings out the best in him and Bruno.
-
And the point that we were making is that as a direct swap in the role Longstaff plays, Tonali was unsuitable with Longstaff as the demostrably better option. I thought that point (even if you disagree with it) was really clear like, because not long after I remember me and Heron saying that Tonali was no longer in competition with Longstaff, but with Willock/Joelinton on the left. In shorthand it's Longstaff out, Tonali in, but in terms of their roles it's Bruno for Longstaff, Tonali for Bruno.
-
Obviously it'll depend on who you were talking to about it, but I know that the argument I (and I think Heron) had was that like-for-like, as in Tonali or Longstaff in that right-sided 8 position it was a no-brainer about who was more effective, regardless of talent. The whole back and forth had loads of caveats about how long-term Tonali should obviously play and that we need to find a role for him and so on. Suggesting that the argument was as reductive as 'Longstaff plays so we're better than if we play Tonali' isn't really fair like. Again, unless you were talking to someone else like - I just seem to remember you and Heron going back and forth, but could be mistaken. You say 'regardless of the positional switch', but I think that's really something you can't disregard when that in itself means he's not in competition with Longstaff for the same role anymore. It's Bruno vs Longstaff now and it was only maybe 3 weeks ago when Tonali - having been completely wasted in the right-sided position was tried out and in competition with Willock and Joelinton on the left side. Howe's only finally settled on putting him in the 6 with Bruno on the right since Liverpool 2 weeks ago.
-
That's also a bit of a strawman that ironically ignores all of the nuance and other variables about the argument that was being made at the time. Longstaff and Tonali are no longer vying for the same position for a start.
-
It nigh on always does unless the club is a complete basketcase, that's why it's so often used as a metric.
-
Everyone misplaced a pass or two at some point, his wasn't solely responsible for their goal and it was his only real mistake when he was on, so fairly easy to disregard it imo.
-
We've turned a weakness (set pieces) into a strength recently.
-
Bit weird, that was Osula's best cameo by a mile. Giving the ball away for their goal aside his hold up play and movement was very good considering how raw he is.
-
Anyway, it's coming. You can see he still has much more to offer. He'll put in 10x the performance that he did tonight and not score.
-
Very easy to see through this like. You and everyone else knows what the points difference between places is.
-
Well there you go, you've answered it yourself.
-
Yeah I thought he was below par for the most part.

I don't know what this one means.
