We did alright. We’ve some big names missing and we had them under the thumb most of the game. Then we got shagged by VAR again. It’s getting to the point where I’ve come to the conclusion that’s it’s gotta be one of two things - it’s either the worst form of incompetence or it’s absolutely fucking corrupt. To what end? I don’t know. But the fact is we’ve had two shocking VAR decisions in the space of a few days. Tin hat stuff? Perhaps but we never seem to get a favourable refereeing decision, not since we hauled the premier league into court last year to try and shed some light on its back room dealings.

Clear to Everyman and his dog that we are missing some serious quality in the second string of players. Get some decent loans in ffs.

We could have 500 corners this game and not score a single fucking one. Just ain’t our day. Refs starting to give em everything as well.

Longstaff isn’t good enough man

Solid 8.6/10 window strengthened the defence massively, signed one of the most exciting young forwards in Europe - incredible stuff. Are there still gaps in the squad? Yes, you can’t unfuck 13 of negligence in two transfer windows but Jesus Christ, compare this squad to the one we had 2 years ago. It’s fucking light years ahead in terms of quality. What I would like to see is Anderson thrown into that midfield more when players like Bruno or Joelinton have to go off. The kid really looks the business and who knows - we could look back on not buying another midfielder as a bit of a godsend in terms of what he can achieve with us.
