Apparently this one is under investigation to check to see if the figure has been inflated. City can sell James Trafford to Burnley for the same figure (he never played a game for them) but apparently anything we do is now massively scrutinised. We should just take these cunts to court again or leak the shit that we had on them in the CAT case that they were desperate not to be heard in public.
-
By all accounts yes. But apparently it was previous dealings with Ratcliffe and Ineos when he was with Monaco that massively put him off. Doesn’t like the way they do things. Let’s just say the Ashley comparisons aren’t far off the mark.

I grew up in that neck of the woods, have some mutual friends (I’ve never met the man). The wife knows the woman who has a kid with. By all accounts he’s one of the sharpest people you’re ever likely to meet when it comes to football. Heard a few choice rumours about his reasons for turning Man United down too😂

An article cobbled together from his own conjecture about the Staveley departure and spliced with quotes from the latest Eales interview that seem totally irrelevant to what he was trying to say. Typical negative shite from the north easts grubbiest slug of a journo.

“sustainable”. Yack. Just pump the dirty cash in and damn the consequences😂
-
Just my opinion mate. Didn’t realise I had to bring some evidence to every post🙄

RE Darren Eales taking over the spokesman role. I don’t mind him but I dunno, I can’t escape the thought that he’s just a bit oiley and a bit of a sycophant. I think he’s more than capable of saying one thing to the fans in regards to resale tickets, which has been an issue, then doing the exact opposite. Hope I’m wrong. Staveley came across as pretty genuine is what I’m trying to say and I’ll miss that.

I once stuck a bid in for a Kawasaki Ninja on eBay, didn’t get it mind. Was I in love with it?
-
Absolutely wasn’t what I said at all. Shes found herself in a v v fortunate position where she’s been rewarded handsomely for a job/role within a team that she’s really embraced and taken into her heart.
-
Being paid and fully embracing the club aren’t two mutually exclusive things.
-
With respect I disagree. They could have held onto their stake and done the bare minimum in terms of their management contract. It’s obvious she went above and beyond and really fell in love with the club (all facets), the region and the fans.
-
Let’s have it right, the way the club and the fans have stood by him - he should be wanting to pull up trees for us. Im excited to have him back tbh, there moments last year where he looked brilliant.
-
I think if we’ve learned anything this last few weeks, the club have a very very tight grip on what info comes out of the club. Nobody had a clue about Mitchell joining until it happened, same with the Staveley news yesterday. I’d go as far as to say what the press reports in terms of our business isn’t worth a wank anymore. We’ll know we’ve signed someone when the club want us to know and that’s it.
-
Be highly surprised we move for anyone until the Alnwick castle summit thinking about it. I’m sure Mitchell will want to hit the ground running, wouldn’t surprise me if some of Staveleys role was assumed by him on the recruitment side. Hoping for a pleasant surprise as most of the names linked have left me feeling either a bit underwhelmed or are just totally unbelievable.

Can’t thank her enough for the work involved with bringing PIF to the table and her tenacity to get the deal done. Totally agree with a few that she should have an ambassadorial role going forward. If not, I wish her well. PIF are clearly moving forward with a purely football centric approach with Mitchell and Eales spearheading things.
-
Can’t see this as anything other than a really ambitious positive recruitment.
-
Aye, don’t bother about those out of work so you can get a shiny new player “for free”. The modern football fan man. Fuckin awful.
-
I put it to you that vastly overpaying on players who have generally flopped for the last ten years has cost you far more money than Yusuf, Gregg and Imogen who work in accounts/catering/maintenance. Cutting local jobs, great way to endear yourself Jimmy.

And meanwhile Almiron is still a Fucking factor at this club. Utter fuckery. -
Absolutely fucking bollocks this. Imagine losing 10-15 goals a year and probably the same in assists. Not even like we can moneyball the fuck out of it and try and make it back in the aggregate with some cheaper players either. Bent as fuck the premier league.
-
Is this transfer moving us forward as a squad? exactly.
-
And scored how many?
-
What the Fucking fuck is going on here.

That comment was in regards to successful player development pal. I’m well aware of the success they’ve had but I can’t think of many young players they’ve fully developed or transformed to the rate of success Howe has had recently. That’s my overall point - I think he’d benefit much more from Howes management and guidance than he would at Chelsea. We could pretty much guarantee him first team football and a star role at a club that’s definitely on the ascendancy.
