  1. Thought this might be the best place to ask this question as it’s been nagging at me for a while now. Why are we so bad at organising protests and mobilising when the club is clearly in the doldrums? Man United organised not only a storming of the training ground but a mass protest at the ground that ultimately got a game postponed and their message was televised all over the world - Im not condoning that sort of action but you have to admire the speed and precision in which it was planned and acted out. What have we done in relation to both Ashley’s mismanagement and the Premier Leagues blatant attempt to pull the ladder up? Absolutely fuck all. A couple of hundred down to london that barely made the news. For a so called passionate and loyal fan base we ain’t half shite at organising action. Is it apathy? Are we too split as a fan base to organise anything effective? Suggestions are most welcome.
  2. Just spat my tea out when I’ve read “not setting any unnecessary limits or barriers”. That’s pretty much all they’ve done to us during this whole saga
  3. Isn’t there meant to be some sort of half arsed protest before this. Ya know, the sort where only 4 fans turn up, Steve Wraith hijacks the event to flog his books about criminals and we get made to look like a total shower of cunts?
  4. Those scumbags will never appreciate that absolute gent of a man.
  5. Dunno if he himself has done anything but Monzo seem to be smack bang in the middle of a serious money laundering investigation. As chairman he’ll have been responsible for oversight of this sort of shit. Hard to see how he clings on to the role there. If he’s implicated deeper then it becomes very very interesting for him in regards to his other roles. Ya just couldn’t fucking write this shit.
  6. It would just be our luck as fans of this clusterfuck of a club.
  7. absolutely zero chance of the Saudis putting all of their footballing investment eggs into this frothing basket of sheer fucking lunacy. They’ll invest elsewhere, in another league that will be more welcoming and some other bastarding team and city will reap the benefits of their bottomless pit of cash and investment know how.
  8. But but but but but Keith said it would be fast tracked and that the Saudis would stay as part of the consortium. In my opinion this is dead and gone now lads, the premier leagues lawyers are infamous for their delaying tactics and it seems they’ve succeeded again. Can’t say the Saudis can really now be keen on investing into a sport in which the governing body have made it blatantly obvious that they aren’t wanted.
  9. Tbh I think, after the super league debacle, that there’s already a consensus and even general acceptance that the premier league panders to the top 6 and their sponsors. I honestly don’t think they care that this is even proven in court either. What can the other clubs do about it? Absolutely nothing. The premier league will argue, with some merit I need add, that its these top clubs that are fuelling the increase in tv money and sponsorship that trickle down throughout the league. In short I’m of the opinion that this “exposure” and collusion to keep it a closed shop isn’t quite the silver bullet that some think it is. A stronger Newcastle is just as bad for the clubs at the bottom as it is for the ones at the top don’t forget. The more I think about it, the more I think the premier league really do have us by the short and curlies. I’m fucking done with football.
  10. What are the rules on posting articles behind a paywall? I’m happy to do it if it’s not an infringement of the rules. People can make their own minds up then. I definitely didn’t see it as a positive article. It was critical of PIF and brutal when it came to what CAT could mean for the real.
  11. Man, that athletic piece makes for depressing reading. It’s pretty balanced and well thought out too. Essentially saying this CAT case ain’t starting anytime soon and that the CAT tribunal has never really handled a sporting case like this before so the premier league will have good grounds to get it chucked out/delayed. Also mentions that PIF would only come back to the table is there is a clear path for them - something that is very very unlikely to transpire from arbitration or CAT. In short - it’s not dead yet but we are in the final stages of attempted resuscitation with it. Fuck sake.
  12. Jesus Christ the bullshit peddlers really are out in force today. They were all blindsided by yesterday’s news which pretty much tells us what we all already suspected - none of em knew fuck all about any of it. All I’ve seen today is a thousand twats on Twitter twisting in the wind. It’d be very funny if it wasn’t so gut wrenchingly infuriating.
  13. Correct. They’ve not even mentioned it. Just fluffed up CAT case a bit more to tee up their own sense of self importance. Apparently the fall out will see Masters and Hoffman’s position with the league become untenable? Never heard so much shit in all my life.
  14. But then the premier league need to firm up their criteria and make a straight decision don’t they? my god I hate that prick Simon Jordan.
  15. Mehrdad Ghodoussi’s tweet says to me he thinks the premier league are twisting again though. Fuck knows. Im washing my hands of the thing now. Once again we’ve been treated like shit and we’ll do absolutely nothing about it.
  16. This is so fucking bent it’s unreal. Anyone with a set of eyes can see the league is just kicking the can down the road. They are literally playing with people’s futures here. An entire areas future. Fuck the lot of em. Corrupt cunts.
  17. Fucking hell. Well that’s that then lads. I’m absolutely done with English football. Bent as fuck.
  18. Surely then this is yet more evidence for the CAT case. I’m no lawyer but from a layman’s perspective it seems pretty frigging obvious that debt laden hedge fund takeovers that won’t challenge the top 6 are fine but ones that threaten the status quo are to be challenged.
  19. General question in relation to the takeover process. If the people are of the opinion that the premier league won’t allow THIS takeover, what sort of takeover do you think they are happy to sanction?
  20. Reading between the lines, if CAT goes ahead publicly, the Prem may settle to avoid the levels of scrutiny they’ll get. It seems that we’ve found their Achilles heel here - transparency.
  21. Jesus? is that true? Looks like he couldn’t fight sleep?
  22. I’m not so sure. I remember Ashley calling her just that last year before changing his mind and that Barclays court case that she was ultra confident of soon turned to rats it didn’t it? Don’t get me wrong I’m not doing the woman down just from the outside looking in she’s got more big L’s than W’s.
  23. One of those that definitely shouldn’t have left the toon. Wasn’t suited to being a small fish in a large pond. Put him in the same bracket as Demba Ba and Cabaye.
  24. Hanging about with those other 3 dildos on that podcast hasn’t done him any favours. All sat there piping each other off and congratulating one another at drawing maximum attention to themselves whilst pretending they are front and centre of the entire takeover process. They make me itch. That dentist is the worst. Fat get.
  25. Kind of an open secret that he was high up on the consortiums wish list. Very very easy win for them to get him back, give him some money for players and watch us wank ourselves into a nostalgia frenzy. In a way it’s more interesting to see where they go next, it’ll give us a nice indication of their true ambitions for the club. Will they go for broke and try and attract a big name or will they give a young ambitious manager like Howe a chance.
