Hard to say, but Harrison is not of the same quality as Raphina and definitely not of Phillips imo. With Leicester I am still reeling at the reminder they got £80m for Maguire.

Good points, the random element is unrealistic expectations from selling clubs (thinking Leicester, and Leeds it seems)—these/some of them will only be challenged at the 11th hour. Though, that late stage change will come sooner than 1st Sep (please God!) if they need funds or buy.

I might ‘incentivise’ my 13 year old and let him loose on the project ? -
Various press has us vying with Everton for Cornet (who I assumed was one of the three) and who is definitely on his way somewhere.

For what it’s worth, I believe we’ve two buys and one loan (first teamer) coming in in the next 28 days. Maybe one, possibly two, right at the death.

I still need to read the rules properly! Presumably you change your captain every week (if you think someone has an easier game coming up) and similarly makes subs with similar thoughts in mind. Any tips? -
It’s been a really exciting tournament. There’s a comparison to be had with tennis (where I think the women often provide more entertaining matches), there are differences but it has felt very wholesome and less edgy. Went to one of the live games and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Well that could get difficult for all three involved!

If all posts were based on Transfer Rumours it’d would be be pretty dry too!

Not at all too optimistic or nutty! I can’t decide between 3-1 or 2-0. (…if only we could ‘decide’). I’ll go with a nice controlled 2-0 (1-0 HT), with occasional scare and Lingard volleying into L7. -

£80m for Maguire… no wonder they’re playing hardball. -

I mean… I know an England have just won a trophy, against the Germans, but are we going completely confidence crazy? -

My first one with my eldest was the 7-1 thrashing of Spurs. Stood with her on my arm/hip for most of the game so she could see. She was very young, but my arm/back was numb by the end! -
Don’t think it is either or. I think getting one of the positions satisfactorily (and then some…) filled with a loan opens up the purse strings for another, or maybe two.

I’ll keep an eye on their website for team news prior to 6pm kick-off vs Sevilla, whilst not holding breath! -
Wouldn’t rule out a.n.other too. Probs Cornet. If I am wrong I am wrong. If I am right… well just start a rumour that I’m Andy Carroll (…a different tall Gateshead Geordie! ).

I can see the logic, and hope, in it. Looking to the past, sometimes often a needs-must, our youngsters have been left in to develop and perhaps become better players that they would have otherwise. But then again perhaps not. I am thinking of Lee Clark, Steve Howey, Steve Watson, Alan Thompson (I think without the car accident he may have been the pick of the bunch), Robbie Elliot, Shola Appleobi.
