He’s a Geordie who supports Sunderland. -
Sounds like one we would be looking at/want. Age, profile, potential, price. NUFC’s APPP criteria.

Errr… who is is a Geordie also. -
So their new manager has had two seasons in the hot seat in Lique 1 with L’orient. Narrowly avoiding relegation first time, finishing 16th (8 wins, -28 gd) and then relegated in 17th (7 wins, -23 gd). I’d find it hard to get excited about this one, if I was a Sunderland supporter.

Haven’t noticed him that much either. What I can recall, is he has strengths protecting the ball and holding up play to bring in others. He looks exceptional in the air/very difficult to push off the ball in a challenge. I think his movement looks good/intelligent forward play pulling defenders out of the way to make space. Seems to have a good touch. Not sure about his ball striking or striker instinct, I.e. whether he is one of those players who is good at being in the right place and quickly taking a half chance. Might do some ‘Wise’ scouting if this continues to rumble on. I’d like to feel excited about what he (any signing) might bring and like many others, I guess, it doesn’t seem that exciting yet.

He was on mine. So was Palmer and Gallagher (ok and Phillips), and now Gallagher’s out of reach, so is Onana.
-
The answer might be Eddie thinks he is. He’s certainly a long time admirer.

A Jock Makem from Felling. Once knew an Irish Makem from Felling. Getting exotic in the old homeland!

That’s what will delay our ‘empire building’. We’re a long way from being able to afford that kind of wage and the ripple effects it causes.

Don’t think I even knew that. Turns out it is quite an impressive list! https://www.givemesport.com/chelseas-ultimate-squad-of-players-theyve-let-go-ft-salah-de-bruyne-rice/

Olise, de Bruyne, Lukaku, just how many have they prematurely let go/‘bought back’?

A chubby ‘Rainman’ looking dude got chased and physically abused by some, no doubt drunken, and clearly old enough to know better, thugs.

That man gives me lifestyle envy and attractiveness satisfaction in equal measure. (cameras always seem to be pick him out of the crowd at major tournaments). -
Added manly character. It’s a curse being too pretty (..not speaking from experience).

Seen a draft: Mounds of Inspiration. It’s a canny read.

Ahhh! The sweet reminiscence of post-match dissatisfaction. It’s like the season has started again. -
