Ouch! There’s taking one for the team, but that’s madness.

Thought it was an og in real time and replays. Slow motion clearly slows a beautiful flick for the first goal. What a class act. 🎵 His feet are faster than the human eye, His nipples are level with your eye, Wolte-ma-dah, Whey aye! 🎵

Some optimism-fuelled history I vote for a bizarre, in the circumstances, 5-0 away win with a hat trick of Tonali headers (channeling Rob Lee!) -

Whoa! You can not be wanting black socks with white shorts? -
William ‘knee-jarring, keeper-blocking’ fucking Saliba, consider yourself on my list.

Fixed your post.

Think you’re equating financial security with happiness. Very much not the case for young sportsmen who strive to be the best they can and often their self-esteem is (overly) based upon this. He’s fucked his legacy here and will be desperate to create a brand new bigger and better shiny red one which he can persuade himself makes his choices and actions justified.

Errr, anyone in their right mind? Is that the correct answer? -
Whoops! But hope you’re not faced with that either for what it’s worth 😂

Here’s hoping you’re never faced with it then. I was given that prognosis from some fuckwit surgeon at the Nuffield but thankfully seeking help at another hospital (James Cook) three operations, a bone graft, a bone stimulator and a different kind of external fixator did the trick in the end.

Took a strong side-on impact when his leg was in a relaxed state, not supported by muscles. Made me cringe watching it. Was it Saliba?

Fuck me, talk about one swallow not making a summer…

Hope you feel better for getting that off your chest.

Good words. They outplayed us (this time…). I thought Bruno looked at times incredible against Bradford (I know…) and I don’t subscribe to the view he’s shown poor form all season. He’ll get into his groove and put together a more consistent run of form. He is a first class footballer and that does not change (at least not at his age).

Not sure what would/could lead to that conclusion. I think from what I have heard from him and seen he is incredibly resilient and perhaps just backs himself a little too much. That can lead people to externalise blame when things aren’t going well. He need to own what is not working and try problem solve solutions obviously with significant help from the coaches.

I don’t think that is correct. We wanted Ekitike, when it was evident to the club but not yet the public that Isak really wanted to leave. He would have been the ‘replacement’. We would have still pursued others for the Wilson replacement, I’m including Wissa on that list.

I’ve done a predictions chart for us again in terms of where we should pick-up points if we are on course for a top six finish (taking into account difficulty of opposition and whether home or away etc.). No point posting it as suffice to say, and as everyone can see, we are way off the pace. I’ll share it if we have an upturn.

Well you’ve already had an amazing start, and you’re right, where teams are now doesn’t really predict where they are likely to end up/their quality. Fact is though, after Saturday you will have played six of the bottom eight teams (just ourselves and Wolves missing from a clean sweep!). Tbf, in some cases their position is influenced by your result with them. October fixtures look ok (Man Utd as above) and you’ll tick off Wolves to make it 7 of the bottom eight in 9 games. So you will have played 7 teams who clearly aren’t ticking yet. You’ve a really tough ten games through November and December before you reach the halfway point. I haven’t watched your games or even highlights so am clueless to how you have played, but they are great results full stop; let alone for a newly promoted side. That said, I could see you only picking up 4 points from 30 from the Nov-Dec run. And no, you’re not having the three from us 😉
