  1. The limited edition one without a shirt sponsor is class and will do for many a year.
  2. He’s a top lad, early in the interview he unintentionally buries Steve Bruce, they were talking about the squad being unfit and he said something like “if you have lots of time off, that’s how it’s going to look on the pitch” Even typing that out I’m getting angry thinking about Bruce trying to defend that by saying it’s what his “sports scientist” advised.
  3. He’s played far far worse and not said a word. If he’s turned a page in terms of attitude then fair enough. It wasn’t his worst game at all yesterday, we didn’t really have much of the ball and he chased down their players as much as Willock did, created a nice chance over the top for ASM. If he’s identified that he’s hitting that slump and is working to re-motivate himself, great, hopefully it doesn’t take months like it previously has. It’s not as much of a concern as it has been previously with Bruno waiting for his chance. I’m aware that I sound like am being harsh on him but leopards don’t change their spots etc
  4. McTominey was (pre Howe) Shelvey there at one point, Pogba with a slightly loose pass which he should have got to really and then just sauntered back, even stopped running when he could clearly see KDB ahead of him taking up a position to get a cut back or a rebound. He could see this and still decided to stop. As long as teams have people like this in their starting 11, they’ll never win anything.
  5. Maguire is one miserable looking cunt
  6. Me too, I’ve never enjoyed playing them. Shite stadium, awful supporters. Inferiority complex with their neighbours. Even an influx of cash couldn’t polish that turd. Scouse mackems is so accurate.
  7. Burnley spent 15m on him, there was no way they’d have just sold him to us for a similar price so the extra 10m, it is what it is. If we stay up it will look cheap. Going back to November we looked done for, so bit of perspective and all that.
  8. Looking good for us now, although one or two slip ups and we could be right back in it. Would have liked Norwich to have picked up points today as Brentford would have been dragged into it.

    Joelinton

I kind of remember a few times where he came a bit deeper and seemed to be able to hold onto the ball and pass it which at the time none of our midfielders were capable of doing, it seemed logical to stick him in there as he wasn’t scoring goals up front. It was the game earlier in season when he played that ball to Wilson outside of his boot, then he just looked absolutely natural there.. yet it was still a few games later, maybe the one where Clark got sent off that the penny dropped for the new coaching setup. You also have to factor in confidence levels, since he came here he’s had zero.. badly coached and like the rest of the squad, off the pace fitness wise. All changed thankfully. On the flip side I’d wager if stuck up top again, he’d do a far better job than he did the first time. He’s a totally different animal now. Absolutely one of my favourite ever players for us. Love his attitude.
  10. Keep playing him, when he does make a stupid tackle and gets sent off, that opens the door for Bruno to take his place. It's quite obvious you cannot drop either Joelinton or Willock from the starting 11
  11. Listen, Father Ted is an Irish show that English funded. You can however lay full claim to Mrs Browns Boys
  12. The biggest mistake people are making is thinking Bruce gives a shit. He must have a very talented agent to keep getting him these massive pay days for doing absolutely fuck all. There was a point in his managerial career when he realised he’d never be cut out for the Man Utd job and since then he’s been out to get as many redundancy cheques as he can, in some cases he actually picks up a wage for several months between them. Rolls into the training ground at 11, if he does at all. And then inevitably when his team loses he’s got thick enough skin to stand in front of the media and blame everyone else but him. This notion that he’s a great bloke.. he’s actually a fucking parasite with socially manipulative skills but it says more about how thick the people running most clubs are that people like him get to carry on like this.
  13. Don't see the problem. ASM has been absolutely crocked for months. Gets to 60 minutes and he's standing around hand on hips, taking ages to get back up after getting the ball taken off him. That's not a criticism of him, the club have needed to take care of him for ages and due to our predicament, we haven't been able to do that. His fitness levels have improved recently but 100% believe his legs are probably covered in bruises from being hacked down. He also had a bad dose of Covid the previous year. Any lung damage will put limitations on the oxygen his body can absorb which would easily explain how he hits walls in games roughly around the same point. The other thing to note, he's not built like the average footballer, he's an absolute supercar if can use than analogy. You don't bring a Bugatti to a budget price mechanic if it needs a service.
  14. I’m gonna put this out there, based on today. Joelinton is more effective at this moment in time than Kante at what Kante does so very well.
  15. If we beat Brentford and possibly moving up to 14th that will psychologically give us an edge I think. We have momentum, as do Burnley now. The others around us are all in the horrors.. but that can change in an instant. If we keep current form levels, I can see us picking up another 24/25 points by end of season.. that would easily be enough.
  16. Nothing would be announced yet but i'd wager that he's doing his planning behind the scenes so that he'll hit the ground running whenever that announcement date is.
  17. I don't think Emery had any intention of leaving, he entertained some conversations and then leaked the info to make himself look loyal to his club. It was snidey, unprofessional and also assisted by senor Ballbag who seems to have an axe to grind as far as we're concerned. He's burnt his bridges there as far as we're concerned but I don't think he has any real intention of moving to the PL again. Arsenal wasn't a good experience for him.
  18. Aye, and no wonder Alex is such a twat if that's how things went down.
  19. Aside from moving a little slower than they would have liked at some points, the new owners have barely put a foot wrong since they came in. We don't seem to be making any of the same mistakes other clubs with new money have made.
  20. Watching his post match comments, i felt a wave of anxiety for what we could still be stuck with. Fuck every one of those cunts who gas-lit us for the time he was here. "He's a top manager" etc.. "They'll never accept him because he managed Sunderland..." No. We were never going to accept him because he's absolute dogshit.
  21. Not worried about this one at all. If we want him we’ll make sure we bid the most. If he wants to come here it will happen. We’ll have many options in the summer once we manage to stay up.
  22. This happened the last time, had a run of a few decent games and was awarded with a new contract then before the ink was dry he was back to sub-standard performances. But that was Steve Bruce.
  23. That's the way i'm seeing it, no doubt Burnley are a hard team to break down but Brighton were well below par on Saturday. Just wait until Dan Burn is missing for us at some point, it won't be pretty. Can only assume they are in the same boat. Looking at Burnley's fixtures, it's easy to imagine them getting 0 points from next 4 games, maybe a draw with Palace but that is no certainty.
