The PL are keen for people to believe that they couldn’t make a decision, but the rule book is quite clear on this matter. They should have rejected it. The reason they didn’t reject it is because we would have been in court by now, and they weren’t confident enough in their position. I’ve read the post in question and we’ll see how it plays out in next few weeks. It’s all legal games at this point but I see nothing to be concerned with in relation to today’s developments.

Ben Jacobs is on a par with Matt Slater fed by his PL source. The fact is one of the top 5 anti competition QC’s in the country believes we’d have won this case before club added any evidence. If the PL are so confident why did they not follow their own rule book and reject it. There that confident that they delay at every opportunity. Nothing has changed today apart from the PL have been given a couple of extra weeks. They can’t delay forever and if arbitration goes ahead in July, we could be under new ownership very soon.

Very bizarre under his leadership PBP and the ESL has been attempted. Clandestine meetings with the top 6 the day before EPL board meetings have been widely reported. Relationships between the 6 clubs and the rest are at all time low. Rather than anything Masters did to prevent the ESL, it surely was down to fan and government pressure. The PL is now being threatened with an independent body to regulate it. I personally think Matt Slater is being spoon fed by the PL. Add to this ongoing cases brought by us and Man City and it’s clear Masters should be far from a position of strength.

Talking of Matt Slater.

You would think so but would the PL even be bothered if they couldn’t link the piracy anymore ? It’s been pretty well established that human rights are not part of the test, so I think it’s debatable. All the PL’s favoured journalists like Matt Slater insist all roads lead to piracy.

If WTO, legal cases we’re dropped and Bein reinstated, would it matter if they we’re separate or not ? There is nothing in PL rule book to say a state can’t own a football club.

Looks like the EPL response should be this week, was some doubt earlier it maybe next week. It’ll fall on deaf ears but I hope everyone keeps their shit together when the response comes. Clearly they’ll fight this and sound confident in their position, but the acid test will only be when disclosure comes. Fully expect the likes of Edwards and Matt Slater to paint the PL’s defence as strong, but we’ve been here before lads and know the drill. HTFL.

Always remember a lone Arsenal fan walking past the Duke Of York pub at Kings Cross giving it the big one after the game, there must have been at least 500 Newcastle fans outside drinking in the sun. Suffice to say plastic glasses we’re launched from all angles at him, never seen anyone look as bedraggled in my life. Even the met police we’re laughing at the knacker, apart from that was a very friendly cup final with both sets of fans mixing well all day. I think the big market in town was a scene of carnage after the match if I remember rightly though.
-
Aye, it was a hot one proper cup final weather. Also remember Dalglish coming outside the old tunnel entrance before the match to give some tickets out. I think the commentator Brian Moore paid tribute as we we’re all still singing when Arsenal we’re going up to lift the cup. Great memories despite the result.

Some good memories here, as ever the night before and build up was brilliant. Also remember this bloke as the Geordie Pope on Wembley Way.

The only danger I see is that they try and pull the same trick as NCSL case and argue the same issues are being dealt with in arbitration. I’m not sure it will be this easy with club now bringing case. Arbitration is on the sole issue of separation, this is far more encompassing so don’t think they’ll be successful in parking it again.

I think he believes they’ll initially contest it, the hearing will just be arguments and no evidence disclosed. He believes they will fold once disclosure starts otherwise it will be car crash for them.

Think Wandy is spot on looks like back end of this week.

Yeah pretty much the worst defeat in my lifetime of following us. Could only imagine losing in a cup final to the cunts being worse. Still the KK years were just round the corner, like you say highs and lows.
-
Aye, they must have kept very quiet like on all the other occasions. The mackems love to try and rewrite history. I think it pains them that we always had loads in their end down at joker park and we’re never afraid to make ourselves known.

A nice reminder as to why the PL will have to be very confident in their position. Also worth noting that a big part of PBP was the big 6 being able to veto new owners of other clubs. A blatant attempt to block competition and enshrine it in the PL rule book.

Another great recruit to the legal dream team. Also a subtle nod from Kieran Maguire to manorpark in this article. https://www.footballinsider247.com/newcastle-united-have-appointed-legal-hotshot-in-lawsuit-maguire/
