  1. Convinced Barnes doesn’t start just doesn’t do enough and will be a bettrr bet coming off bench, where not going to run away with this match and he’s a go to if you need a goal late on.
  2. I’ve got no doubt we’d get 70k for a lot of games, but seen something a while back that showed what percentage of local population would need to attend match to fill 70k, think ours would have to be far in excess of anything in the country to achieve it. I think 65k with possibility to extend if needed would be sensible approach, could destroy soul of club playing in a stadium to big with swathes of empty seats if they get it wrong.
  3. I think 65k is spot on, if the data said we’d fill 70k every week that’s what they’d build.
  4. Far more on secondary market in Liverpool end and cheaper, relatively low numbers in our end and far more expensive. Disillusioned with everything to do with modern game at the moment so gave up trying for ticket due to prices, as game gets nearer find myself still checking sites and half tempted to still bite the bullet in case this is finally our time.
  5. I think Edwards penned an article yesterday which again claimed it was overlapping with SJP and 69k, clearly somebody’s getting duff info.
  6. I don’t think we’ll be disappointed and seeing the current site transformed in to a green area can’t be underestimated. No doubt the nimbys will now crawl out the woodwork but this will be massive for the city.
  7. Brilliant news and massive for City can’t wait to see images.
  8. Which is why they’ll cap it at 65k to keep prices and demand high.
  9. According to Hope PIF have own box for final and Yasir due to attend.
  10. Like that team you always need something off the bench at Wembley, Barnes and Willock will be far more effective when game starts to break down and there’s space later on.
  11. Nah we didn’t the flag waving was fucking pathetic they drowned us out for 90 minutes, shove the flags and sing your hearts out.
  12. First half was good I’ll give you that.
  13. It’s a big loss in terms of you need to utilise the subs at Wembley as tiredness always creeps in as game wears on. However, he’s done fuck all against both scouse clubs since coming here and his composure goes completely, not sure he would have done much in the final.
  14. Don’t know what to make of that Man U stadium the external communal area looks impressive, but think it might be the roof that puts me off and those 3 masts. Also looks very grand design with it being a pre fab and being made abroad, then shipped in and put together.
  15. Trippier is even more painful at LB watch his England performances and Tino is the better defender facing Salah.
  16. Head out of Covent Garden tube station and you will just hear the noise and carnage from mid afternoon, 2 pubs on corner Nags Head being one will have hundreds outside, then just follow street down, Punch and Judy will be brilliant if you get there early and can get on the balcony.
  17. Hopefully his legs see no minutes on Sunday either.
  18. Must be watching a different game he offers zero.
  19. Narrow view they are further committing to the area and it can only help grow the airport it’s good news.
  20. The only chance we have is if the games all of a sudden catch up with Liverpool, extra time against PSG would be welcome. We would need Isak to produce something spectacular, not impossible but just can’t see our back 4 being up to the job unfortunately. Where riddled with individual errors and they will just have to much for us.
  21. Exactly I’d happily pay over the top again to be at Wembley if I thought the occasion would be worth it. Yeah we’ll probably get turned over but where used to that, what I’m not used to is how bad our current fanbase is, if I thought our fans would make an occasion of it and you’d hear the Blaydon Races, Geordie Boot Boys and Howay The Lads etc reverberating around Wembley i’d be there come hook, or crook. Unfortunately those days are gone and it still rankles me now that the Mancs wanted it more than us 2 years ago, it was fucking embarrassing and a major low pissing all over the reputation of a fanbase built over the years, for the Blaydon Races not to be sung once at a major showpiece was sickening and you’ve got to question if we have lost our identity completely at this point.
  22. Think I’m completely done with it now decided to not even bother going down for the cup final, will miss the craic on the Saturday but not going to put myself through the pain on Sunday, can take getting beat but I’m done with modern football and I’ll spend a fortune just to come away depressed as fuck with the whole experience.
  23. The only way a new stadium would help is if it allowed folk to sit with their pals and have increased standing. I’m just not convinced the club and likes of Silverstone even have that as a consideration though unfortunately. I also think having 15k fans detached in level 7 doesn’t do anything for the overall feel of the place. SJP isn’t one of these old grounds like Goodison that has kept an intimate feel, its neither a new stadium, or an old traditional ground, it’s badly designed and any small amount of noise currently created doesn’t carry.
