  1. The rule are different for the league cup to the FA cup, don’t think we have to give these a hefty allocation if we don’t want to. Certainly wouldn’t be giving these 7k like some teams have been given in the past. Night time game, they have a load of little scrotes that follow them and we’ll be pumped up for our biggest cup game in years.
  2. Not sure about Thuram and do we really need him if Isak is nearly fit ? Where starting to see teams setting up defensively against us at SJP now and sometimes we struggle. A David Silva type who can unlock defences would add something we haven’t got. For me it’s either a creative midfielder, or a real out and out winger who creates. Get either of those and I think top 4 could be on the cards.
  3. Enzo Fernandez and Bruno in the midfield would be the dream combo. Highly unlikely but we can dream, still feels like we need another top drawer attack minded player for the 2nd half of the season. I’m sure Isak will give us a huge shot in the arm when he’s it, that’s why an attacking midfielder like Fernandez or a wide player like Mudryk would be the dream signing. All for unearthing these young South American talents though, will save us a fortune in the long term.
  4. Trust me whoever’s daft enough to give him 3 years it will be his last payday.
  5. That’s crazy he’d be on massive wages even on a free i’d spar well clear of the likes of him. He screams one last payday and the type of signing Man U have come a cropper with in recent years.
  6. The lad must be disappointed having gone into the tournament on the crest of a wave. Must have been galling being heralded as one of the most inform midfielders, then seeing the lad from Brighton and Fernandez having great tournaments. Hopefully works out well for us and he’s got a point to prove.
  7. If the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund had bought us, the Norwegian’s would now be part of the axis of evil. No idea how but they’d be responsible for some heinous crimes involving oil and haddock which meant our incoming trophies would have an * next to them.
  8. He was unplayable at home to City and looked set for a big season. Definitely was a difference in his game and was looking for the pass a lot more. Needs a good 2nd half of the season, or could well be sacrificed if someone is willing to gamble on him and pay a decent fee.
  9. Argh the vile country they didn’t give 2 fucks about until October 2021. Funny that like.
  10. It’s far from being deluded or arrogant to think there’s every chance we’ll win everything in the next 10 years. I would be absolutely amazed if PIF privately didn’t think the same, they’re here to make us the very best and haven’t even scratched the surface yet. I would say my expectations are very much in line with the ownership, old mindsets are hard to change but everyone needs to recalibrate what this club is on the way to becoming.
  11. I expect us to win everything within 10 years no delusion here it’s a given. Bit like the takeover you thought would never happen ?
  12. Makes me sick how we lost Bobby Clark especially to those cunts. Just another month and we might have been able to keep him.
  13. What’s impressed me most about the Saudis is how savvy they’ve been. From the appointments to the lack of Hollywood signings, they’ve been streetwise when it comes to the media and agents. The only people who want Yasir to speak is the press so they can pick him apart, I suspect as fans there actions are all we care about, those actions have spoken larger than any words from previous owners. We might have struck the jackpot with the richest owners on the planet, but we couldn’t have dreamt they’d be this fucking clued up it’s marvellous.
  14. Not that I think it’ll happen but say Arsenal collapse and City still have blips in new year, the unthinkable happens and we win the league this season. Was just thinking about this scenario and whilst clearly the city would be on a bender for 2 weeks solid and we’d go fucking beserk, it would be interesting to see psychologically how as a fanbase we’d react going forward. We’re all seeing this as an exciting journey currently whereby we probably build over the next couple of windows, finish top 4, play in Europe, hopefully get to Wembley and then eventually, possibly win the league. If we win the league this year would it spoil us and kill some of the intrigue of how this is going to pan out, clearly opportunities to win the league don’t come easily and you could never turn the opportunity down after the barren years we’ve had. But would it be better to do it incrementally, maybe win a league cup first and build to the bigger trophies to fully appreciate it. Ultimately I expect us to win fucking everything, but in a few years when we look back the journey is sometimes the best part.
  15. Loads of top quality wide men available but the lad from Naples would top the lot. Finish top 4 this season and anything is possible in the summer.
  16. Anyone checked in on Exile today ?
  17. Be a bit annoying if the scousers get Fernandez been nice seeing their midfield declining. Of course if it meant we’re getting Bellingham then I can live with it.
  18. Looking at that list of capacity’s it’s clear standing still isn’t an option, but I think realistically 65k is about right going forward. Still think purpose built on Castle Leazes is the right option in terms of creating the right stadium though. I know folk are keen to stay at St James on here, but would you be happy with a mirror image of the Leazes stand at the Gallowgate end ? It would look great undoubtedly but at what cost to atmosphere ? The current Leazes stand is dead for creating noise and if that happened to the Gallowgate would same folk be happy with a redeveloped St James. It would also create new swathes of Level 7 seating which is undesirable to many. New stadium with great sight lines and acoustics for me all day, obviously still in striking distance of city centre though
  19. Whenever you talk to a MLF they nearly always have a season card, none of the plastic mags have even set foot in the landfill marra.
  20. If we’re still after a winger we should be all over the lad from Ajax looks tailor made for Premier League.
  21. A player who helps us into the CL would be my preference over a yank perma crock. There’s a wealth of wingers out there Mudryk, Diaby, Kudus to name a few who I’d want ahead of Pulisic. Not buying that where in for him as his injury record would be a major red flag, this incarnation of NUFC has no need to take gambles on so called top 4 rejects. I certainly don’t buy into the theory he’d be a good signing for commercial reasons, Howe and Ashton wouldn’t entertain it.
  22. Up the Shields Mags he’s one of our own !
