Why would fans not be angry at a protest to get rid of PIF while the rest of the sporting world happily takes their money ? John Hird gets his way and PIF sell up then what ? Is Saudi Arabia in a better place and does our club benefit ? Everyone has a right to protest but fans need to realise what this blokes ultimate aim is. Had some great times on the benches before moving upstairs to the gallowgate wing. Used to sit near Keith Barrett back in the 90’s and it was definitely the best part of the East Stand for atmosphere. Full of big groups of lads from Washington and North Shields who we’re always great craic. Before the bond scheme, platinum club etc the Milburn leazes wing was always great for getting the atmosphere going aswell in the 90’s.
