  1. Gives me a vision of a rendered in cartoon representative of The Premier League shaking their fist furiously at us. ‘Ohhhh you….’
  2. Seems a bit late to be parading their domestic cup trophies, don’t teams usually do that the next day?
  3. Surely he’s too young for that though? What a weird thing to be carrying around with him. He honestly should step away from football for the sake of his own health. Perhaps he can involve himself in gender politics or something
  4. Yeah, was going to say, but I can’t work out how Irish people would be especially deserving of being murdered because of misusing what intuitively feels like the correctly shortened term for Nottingham
  5. I think he needs help. What is he even talking about?
  6. That Rob Lee testimonial was completely shit, like. Imagine losing 1-0 in a tightly contested fixture as a testimonial. Wanted whacky penalties and all sorts.

The first thing I would do if I had ten trillion pounds would be to invest in a middling championship club. I think I speak for all trillionaires on this

The fact that this news has been announced on their message board and not, per a cursory Google search, on any mainstream news outlet makes it even worse. I am steaming

I am fucking….oh, no wait I’m not. Sorry.
  10. Lot of moxie for a club their size
  11. Not a goal, but when Dubs caught the cross at Leeds in the 94th minute and lay on it. The relief was just unreal.
  12. I was in London, baking hot day. It was almost old school how I found out- I had consciously stopped following it, so found out while idly browsing the bbc website. Did the usual defence mechanism trick of shoving it deep down and pretending I was enjoying time with my family
  13. Yeah, I think the idea posted earlier about a proper club organised re-sell scheme is the best solution
  14. My own situation is that I have been away from the North East for years. I have always kept up my ticket to stave off homesickness as much as anything. It has cost me a fortune, obviously, and when I did give it up- 2019/2020- the games I saw over Christmas (where the combined cost of tickets was over a hundred quid) were the first games that Ashley’s ten thousand free-loaders got to enjoy. In a moment of post-covid emotion, sat having a pint in the Strawberry last year, I decided fuck it, texted my mate for our old seat details and went over to buy it back. It was a moment of spontaneity that I am of course grateful for. Post takeover is the only time anybody has been at all interested in taking my ticket match by match (I literally couldn’t give it away previously), and I have always charged under face value. If they want to do what Liverpool have done, fine, it will just be an empty seat.
  15. What major issues do you mean?
  16. I might be wrong, but I do think a huge part of this is the fact that we’re going to spend loads and start competing. If some generic American hedge fund were in charge, doing some limp social media stuff about Sunderland lol, I think these conversations would be very different. I know that it doesn’t apply to you and others though- really shit if people who stopped going genuinely to get rid of Ashley can’t get back in.
  17. By the way, that was the fucking height of unprofessionalism too. Update your details or sorry you lose your points. Like, come on- work out a way of doing it yourselves you cretins
  18. This leads to a genuine- albeit slightly ungenerous- question. Would those who got rid of their season ticket to do their bit to remove Ashley be clamouring so much if his replacement had been the new Burnley owners, or even Southampton’s? Quite possibly in lots of cases, but I think that many, just as I was, were just bored and worn out.
  19. Yeah, this is what I'm thinking too. I remember when they shifted fans during the expansion to 52,000, one of the attendant assumptions was that it would be bad news for all those that had been on the waiting list since the nineties. In the end, the club pretty comfortably accommodated everybody. Think it will be a similar story this time.
  20. Is it actually true that he is a Tory? In which case I don’t really want anything to do with them while we have a fucking foodbank outside of our stadium.
  21. That’s probably why you get on so well. Similar.

Genuine question: Why do Sunderland not take the knee?

Not a single Sunderland player took the knee
