  1. Is that still there? I live and travel around the Gulf and haven’t seen one of his rag shops in years.
  2. I’m Manx, so you can fuck off with that talk, tbh.

    Anthony Gordon

I personally hope we go out at the earliest opportunity if he’s picked. Lad needs a holiday.
  4. My river hasn’t run so dry since the LC final last year. All the usual tributaries are down.
  5. Losing 0-1 at home to Man Utd in 95/6. More of a pivotal moment than Fenton and Woan when the wheels were already off.
  6. What happened to our shithousery than Howe learned from his visit to A Madrid? We've gone soft and roll over.
  7. What's the background to this that's doing the rounds on all the gammon outlets? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-13047047/LITTLEJOHN-Newcastle-fan-banned-gender-critical-trans-views.html
  8. He came in when we were on our arses, and helped us get to the UCL. Will always be a legend in my eyes. His house was burgled while on England duty. Burglaries can be traumatising , particularly for families with young children, and his form dipped immediately afterwards. If this is the best move for him and his family, I cannot begrudge it.
  9. Stick the fucker on gardening leave for the next several years
  10. At least the Noon badge doesn't stand out like a sore thumb
  11. Home kit now available for next day delivery on noon.com Only caveat is that you’d need to be in the UAE or KSA.
  12. My dodgy stick packs up when Rangers are playing. Probably because I bought it from a Glaswegian.
  13. I wholeheartedly endorse this statement.
  14. Some of them might like the Red Sea, but the infrastructure isn't as developed around those resorts. Traffic is horrendous in Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah. There's no countryside, only desert with a handful of archeological sites. I'd imagine a lot of the players' families would be discreetly based in the UAE or Bahrain.
  15. Been to a few in Saudi. They're bigger than you might expect and have all the mod-cons & shops etc, but the high walls and barbed wire make them feel like a gilded open prison. The roads and the air pollution will certainly put off a lot of their families.
  16. I live in Abu Dhabi. I never said I have lived in Saudi, but been probably over a hundred times over the years, sometimes for weeks at a time. Been to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Hofuf, Jubail, Yanbu, Tabuk, Arar and Abha. Abha's probably the most interesting place, but a little too close to Yemen for my liking. Yanbu's also quite nice if you're into scuba diving. Growing up in Liverpool would have prepared Gerrard for life in Dammam. It's a complete dump.
  17. Luxury compound or not, doesn't change the fact that the place is one of the most boring places on earth.
  18. Doesn’t even live in Dubai. Lives up the road in Ajman.
  19. Wasn't he wanting to go to Turkey at one point? He'd be perfect for that Istanbul upstart whose name escapes me which has lots of faded/jaded 'stars'. The one that has 50 year old Emre, etc.
  20. At the beginning of the season Noon used to sell our shirts on their website here in the UAE. Not anymore. How long is their current sleeve deal for? I still think it'll be Emaar. You often see their signage side by side in the Emaar constructed areas, such as the Marina.
  21. Fair play to them. Would be happy for the Scouse Mackems to be replaced by the Originals for a year.
  22. Try finding a Castore kit outside the UK and Ireland. They're just a Poundland Under Armour. Having the distribution network of Nike or Adidas and an agreement on sales volumes like Liverpool have with Nike should be the way forward, particularly if we buy a Mitoma or Son.
