  1. You don't see many crests modelling the city coat of arms these days, it's a great nod to tradition
  2. Suning are the majority shareholders in Inter which is indirectly owned by the Chinese government (I say that, they've essentially told Suning to stop all foreign investment hence the fiasco at Inter, they can't invest so long as the government controls this), and the pandemic has ruined their finances. Inter are making loads of cuts like 20% to Conte's contract and player sales to keep afloat and that isn't possible when Conte wants the best for the team. They agreed a deal recently with Oaktree Capital though the PIF were also interested in about 30% of the club to help support them. Suning still want out so that's a saga that'll continue
  3. Hahaha, what about Carla di Bello, the so-called Kardashian associate involved as an advisor to the takeover? The weirdest possible combination for a consortium in PCP, Reubens and PIF but that's us!
  4. The schemes are nice, look forward to seeing how they copy onto kits if it's even the official palettes!
  5. Some big business news here

    Graeme Jones

And that's the surface figures, without looking deeper into presses and all that (Bruce was on target using the points to games for 36 points which would've had us 17th, Jones 54 points which still is 12th but 1 point behind Villa. We've obviously evened around in the middle)
  7. It's done enough to convince the casuals that Bruce has done a fantastic job. Seen few recommending him as manager of the year for keeping us up when everything looked lost (because of him getting us there to begin with). And the attack from Alex Bruce on Hope is just defending against the antagonistic Mail in their minds
  8. Something I just went and checked, in his two seasons at Sunderland, Bruce finished 13th on 44 points and 10th on 47 points. Sounds quite similar to him at Newcastle doesn't it, because it's near identical! That would be their 2nd and 4th best seasons this side of the millennium for what it's worth. To think we're deluded calling for his head! (Shows you it's more than results alone that defines a manager's performance!)
  9. Ando is Craig Hope confirmed
  10. So this is how we're spending the summer months?

Newport or Morecambe for these lot next year
  12. Aguero gets his 2nd goal - 5-0 up at Everton!
  13. You'd argue he doesn't have the voice for radio though, it's a lose-lose
  14. 14 years today https://www.theguardian.com/business/2007/may/23/football.money Sir John Hall said: "Mike Ashley is a major player in the sporting world and I am convinced he is the right person to take my place and take the club forward. I am sure he will be good for the club". In a statement Mr Ashley, who guards his privacy jealously and has rarely been photographed, said the club had "a fantastic infrastructure, for which Sir John and the board must take the credit".

18/19 was the Charlton final (94th min winner), 19/20 they didn't make the play-offs as PPG decided it that year, 20/21 was obviously Lincoln in the semis. They've got that trophy to keep hold to and defend it for next year on the bright side!
  16. Until he's gone, Ashley is still here. Still the custodian for the club and the city to a wider extent - he might be trying to sell but he hasn't yet for years he's acted as if it's the opposite. Each day with Bruce, with Ashley is another day wasted because he doesn't care, we've known that forever
  17. About 1 minute 20 for the boos at FT
