  1. We have royally fucked this transfer window. Time for Osula to shine as our only striker
  2. Maybe don't broadcast it on a global social media platform then you massive plum
  3. We should've gone all in for Mateta from the start, but i reckon Liverpool would scupper that one too if we actually made a move
  4. I'd be comfortable going into the season with one decent striker and Osula as backup - i think Osula offers far more than Wilson did towards the end. Reassess in January
  5. I totally agree, but it also means we go into the season with one striker (assuming we sign one) and a £150m player who won't play.
  6. True, but if they offer the money we're asking and we reject it, Isak doubles-down on his stance.
  7. Most effective way to fuck us up is to wait until deadline day and offer the full amount, which I think they will do. It's not just a case of wanting our player, it's a case of wanting our player and trying to put the brakes on our ascent at the same time.
  8. It 100% should be Osula. Why Eddis keeps holding him back when he's clearly a handful is beyond me
  9. Strand Larssen, Wissa, Jackson and Watkins. Seems we're genuinely interested in two of them but their clubs are playing hard to get. understandably as well. Like you say, there is a shortage of replacements available
  10. I don't think so but he'd be a great addition to the squad. ManUre sound like they're willing to let him go, and he wants first team football. Loan to buy would be ideal
  11. Exactly what i thought watching the game. Put Gordon where he is most dangerous and give Osula or Joelinton a go up front. I thought Szob did a decent job on Barnes tbf but it's not the kind of game Barnes thrives in
  12. Depends how far it popped out i think. It clearly wasn't a full dislocation, but even a slight slip of the joint can do proper tendon damage
  13. I think there's always an element of romaniticsm when it comes to football - i speak to my 75 year old stepdad and he waxes lyrical about teams in the 70s, and then you watch it and it's shite. But, the clinical, business nature of football now has made it stale and not very exciting. All of the mavericks that used to light up the game have gone. It's all based on data, POMO and running stats now. There's nothing more exciting than a player doing something completely genius/unexpected like he's playing in the park, and then banging it in from 25 yards but those players don't fit into the modern footballing ethos, so it is far less entertaining. As with all entertainment industries, you don't prove how entertaining it is through stats. You judge it by your eyes, ears and nervous system, and there's absolutely no doubt that football is not as enjoyable as it used to be. And no amount of refcam is going to change that. You don't go and watch a film and come out saying 'statistically, that film was very good. The structure was excellent and it fit the pattern of what a good film should be'. You come out going 'that was amazing' or 'that was shite (as in the case of 28 years later)'. And football now compared to what it used to be, when players had more freedom to express themselves, is just shitter. I blame Sam Allardyce.
  14. I'd be really interested to see his goal involvements across league and cup in the handful of minutes he's played. Always seems to make something happen and yet gets largely ignored. I get that he's raw but in a league full of systems, structure and safety, I don't think raw is a bad thing
  15. That ref cam is a pointless bag of shit!
  16. Ffs! That’s a red. Even it was borderline against these cunts you know what’s going to happen
  17. I’ve only just turned it on. Have they done a bit on Newcastle yet? Just a massive Liverpool wankathon so far
  18. No rush guys. Take your time.
  19. We've done great at getting players out so fair play to the team for that. They're fucking shit at signing strikers though
  20. Holmesy

    Yoane Wissa

Do we know what that price tag is?
  21. I'm sure there's stuff going on behind the scenes but it's ridiculous we don't have one recognised striker at this stage.
  22. I loved those days. Everything is far too fucking sensible these days
  23. We've been linked with Thuram loads haven't we? He'd be a far more exciting signing than any of the other lot
