  1. Problem is, I wouldn't even trust our lot to be able to spend the £150m. It could lead to a strong rebuild but we have to be able to actually attract players and get them over the line first
  2. Maybe they should let Eddie pick the next DoF so we don't go through this fucking debacle for a third time
  3. Why the fuck didn't we offer him a new contract? No wonder he wants away. Have we ever had a player more deserving of a new contract?
  4. It's infuriating. There's no excuse - they've had 18 months to plan for it. People get called bedwetters on here for pointing it out, but we clearly didn't have a plan. We had a small list of targets, did no pre-work to find out if they wanted to come here, they all chose elsewhere and now we're struggling. And if Isak leaves, there's another big gap to fill. We can't even fill the ones we had already.

    Yoane Wissa

Sesko would make more sense if Isak is sold. Wissa replaces Wilson, surely?
  6. Eh? Of course we will but we're competing at the top table now and we don't have the resources to match the competition - location, money etc. They're the reasons we've lost out to rivals so far - Ekitike, Pedro, Delap. I'm not saying we won't sign anyone, but the moment we go for a top player in a position the cartel are trying to strengthen too, we'll probably be second choice again.
  7. It'll be the same dance again - get to the talks stage, Chelsea/Liverpool/Man Utd come in for him, offer higher wages and we'll be back to the drawing board

    can Wissa play #10?
  9. I don't think you can coach thick out of a player unfortunately. I'm sure he could improve him technically but he'd still be prone to making stupid decision because in the words of Forrest Gump, "stupid is as stupid does"
  10. Garnacho is one of the most braindead footballers i've seen for a good while.
  11. I mean, honestly, i'd take any fucker at this stage. When was the last time we had a genuinely exciting transfer window?
  12. I think it's more to do with the fact his ceiling is nowhere near that of our other midfielders. Injury or not, he just got replaced by better players and couldn't keep up. He's PL quality but he would stand out like a sore thumb in the CL
  13. Leicester didn't threaten to leave the league to be part of the European Super League. They're not interested in keeping the Leicesters of this world happy
  14. No need to be bitter about someone choosing Liverpool over us - they're a big draw. We'll move on, sign someone great and have a fantastic season regardless. Frustrating window so far but the signs are that things are hotting up
  15. I completely agree, but keeping him against his will and pricing him out of what he could see as a dream move isn't going to do us any favours at all
  16. Look, we've got to be pragmatic here. If Isak wants to go, he'll go. If we get £150m for him, we've proven we can bring in good quality and kick on, albeit very slowly. It wouldn't be ideal, but we've lost players before and been fine. That said, i still think he'll be here at the start of the season
  17. If he's a direct replacement for Longstaff - deputising when Tonali is unavailable - he imporves our midfield options massively.
  18. I'd really like Mateta but that cock-end at Palace would probably ask £100m for him
  19. He always looks really upbeat in the social media videos. He's got that really irritating urban, wannabee rapper accent though. Proper grating!
  20. A proper #10 who can operate in tight spaces around the box and open things up would give us a huge advantage - we've got lots of running in the team but not a lot of guile.
