  1. Fair play to Lascelles for playing on with a broken schnozz. Looks sore as fuck!
  2. I’m pleased for Wood. Hopefully that gives him some confidence and he can kick on
  3. What the fuck kind of tackle was that?! Is it any wonder people are saying the standard of officiating is as bad as it’s ever been?! Blind cunt!
  4. That’s why Murphy will never be a Premier League player. Consistently awful decision making
  5. I expect (and hope) Trippier will still be here as a coach.
  6. Pope Trippier Botman Bruno St Maximin Joelinton Isak There’s some serious quality with those 7 players. We’re halfway to a very talented and exciting first team.
  7. And that's why you buy the players you're most in need of, early in the transfer window. Welcome back to the starting lineup Chris Wood.
  8. Leeds supporting mate of mine reckon Harrison don’t really fit into Marsch’s system very well. Harrison is an out-and-out winger but Marsch plays a narrow system. That said, he did pretty well at the weekend in a narrow system so ??‍♂️

    João Pedro

I imagine they’ve done some scouting and started agent discussions for replacements already
  10. I can't imagine they're alone in their admiration for him
  11. This morning Talksport said Southampton were about to break their transfer record to bring him in. They're like a blind man playing darts

We've also got to let the market tell us where we are in terms of our own stature to an extent. We are showing ambition by going after Maddison, Diaby and Isak but maybe they're not all that realistic yet. If we can't get our top targets because the prices are inflated, they only want to join teams playing European football, challenging for domestic honours or paying top wages, we either adjust our approach or don't sign anyone.
  13. The market will open up in the final two weeks. Most teams will have completed their business and know which players they want to keep, which they're happy to get rid of and which ones are determined to leave themselves in order to get first team football. We've never been active at this end of the market so it'll be interesting to see what happens. Gordon can see Everton are sinking already, Chelsea's fringe players are getting nowhere near the first team, we're unbeaten in two - things that can potentially influence transfer activity are changing by the week
  14. One photo and a tenuous article actually
  15. I can potentially see us signing one Chelsea player permanently, with a favourable payment structure due to Staveley's good relationship with them, and one on loan. Two from Hudson-Odoi, Pulisic, Gallacher, Broja would be ideal
  16. This stuff is probably done all the time by recruiting directors/managers. Just because it's being reported now doesn't mean it's a new tactic. How do we know this isn't how Ashworth signed Cucarella from Spain?
  17. West Ham could offer him guaranteed first team football but they're West Ham FFS! He'd likely be a rotation player at City but would get a better salary Here, he'd be part of an exciting revolution, he'd get to play alongside his best mate, play in a city he already seems to like and be adored like nowhere else. I'm not so sure he'd pick City over us
  18. Yeah, i suspect the 'small group of targets' comment is less 'we've identified these specific players and they're the only ones we're prepared to sign' and more 'we have specific criteria for new signings and there are a limited number of players that fit those criteria'. It might even be specific criteria per position, who knows?! e.g striker under 20, playing in Europe who speaks English and doesn't demand first team football straightaway. Or right footed winger with XG of ?
  19. Agreed. I think we overrated the shit out of him because he was a rare spark of joy in an otherwise miserable era.
  20. The fact they're even putting a value on him suggests they're prepared to do business, but why? He's one of most consistent, creative performers in the league. I doubt he'll get more money here and as others have said, Leicester are arguably better than we are. He does come across as a twat but not the trouble making kind, and most footballers come across the same. Obviously we're on the up but it'll still be a few years before we're challenging for top honours, by which time he'll be knocking on. Seems like a really strange move all round if it happens, but happy days for us if it does.
  21. I'd rather Hudson-Odoi than Harrison but both would be significant upgrade on our existing winger (ASM aside)
  22. Ritchie will likely be one of them. I reckon Almiron will stay
  23. The right signings, at the right price, with the right future potential and the right mindset is a perfect approach, as frustrating as it is. But it just keeps bringing me back to what the fuck led us to spaf £25m on Chris Wood
