We gift possession to the opposition so much and that is undoubtedly something that can be improved on the training pitch. New, better players would obviously help that as well but you play the hand you’re dealt. Under pressure like we were in the second half today, better teams take the sting out of the opposition by keeping the ball and playing it around while sitting deep. We sit deep, keep giving the ball away and have to face an onslaught of attacks. It’s pathetic stuff at times.

Attempting to sit back, conceding 2 goals that realistically could have been 4 and clinging on for the points from a comfortable position is not good for confidence. Winning 4-1, 5-1, 6-1 would have done wonders and sent a message to the rest of the league. Wasted opportunity. Whether it was management or the players who decided to sit back and take it easy, it needs to not happen again. Happy for the 3 points obviously but that was fucking shit!

I think you've touched on exactly why - our team is packed full of running, energy, workrate but little real guile. Bruno and Isak are arguably the only players in our side capable of unlocking a defence with something other than pace and power. For me, we need a #10 in the mould of peak-Erikson, Odegaard, Foden or someone of that ilk who can create something out of nothing when sides sit back against us or nullify our usual weapons.

He's always been a shite pundit but they keep him around for the novelty factor and the high chance he'll say something that amuses the morons who watch him. I've seen more intelligent plant-life than that insufferable cockney bellend.
