  1. To clarify then: - In 2 weeks: A statement from the PL to say they've read Mike's letter. - July: Arbitration - August: We get informed that arbiration failed. Beloff retires. - We pursue the CAT case right through next season. Have I got that right?
  2. If you tolerate this then your children will be next
  3. Important to be honest? Let's hope no one asks him if he wants away in the summer.
  4. You're only allowed to take 7 letters at a time in scrabble. Cheating bastard pastor.
  5. Given how much they would stand to lose from a Saudi takeover I should imagine the big 6 will be willing to foot quite a hefty compensation to prevent this.
  6. Thanks for that reply. You seem to know your onions. What's your background, if I may ask?
  7. So if we lose this arbitration gig in July, and I assume we will because the panel is in the cartel's pocket, where does that leave us? Are we fucked or is it onwards with the other case?
  8. The prawns, scousers, spuds and arse are all in a precarious position. If SA buy us there'll be one champions league spot available for those four. One or more of those clubs would likely slip into mid-table shitness. Their owners stand to lose hundreds of millions, perhaps even billions, if this Saudi deal goes through. Glazer, Werner, Levy and Kroenke are bricking it. Our best hope is that the Saudi's are treating this as a matter of personal pride and are going to pull every string and bump off every journalist necessary in order to get this done. I must repeat my stance again though. I'm fidning it increasingly difficult to see how a fair trial can happen given the power of the people involved. Billionaires are above the law (unless there are specific political reasons to bring them down). For me, this isn't about the details of a court case. It's about who can lobby, threaten and bribe the right people.
  9. Personally, I'd like to see ex-footballers branching out more. How about Question Time hosted by Tony Cottee? Or perhaps bring back Noel's House Party but let Uwe Rosler do it.
  10. Hoo @Whitley mag When’s this new court case thing starting? Am I misremembering ordered Liam Kennedy say 7 days about 5 days ago? PS: Joey and Fantail, I know this is your favourite thread but how about storing all of your smarmy comments in a word document and then you can send them all at once when the takeover issue is resolved, rather than have to come in here every four or five comments.
  11. I'd go with this: Big Phil Banks O'Donoghue Keith Gordon Ally McBeal De Marco Fatima Jowels OJ's laywer MJ's lawyer Adam J's lawyer
  12. Amanda's press conference: "And we'd also like to say a massive thankyou to Keith Patterson and Gordon Stein..." On here... "It was another Keith Patterson and Gordon Stein." "She meant to say beef flappers and soaring swine." "It's all a conspiracy to help Mike do a tax fiddle."
  13. I’ll bet there are millions of examples of legal disputes in business taking a long time. That’s all this is.
  14. What's to stop the PL going to court, being found guilty and taking it all on the chin? They'll release a statement saying they're sorry, send Masters to Barbados to retire and Mike will trouser his compensation money. It's not like the media are going to go wild with the story. Then it'll be back to arbitration.
  15. I'm impressed by any shirt that'll go round my gut and tuck in my pants.
  16. Souness and Dalglish will always be my most hated for destroying two top Newcastle sides. Perhaps Souness takes first prize for being the most odious since he's never shut the fuck up about it since. At least the other miserable turd has the good grace to pretend it never happened. Doubtfire and The King aren't even close to those to knackers.
  17. His tongue serviced his lips a lot.
  18. Same. He seems like a dead honest down to earth bloke.
  19. Rafa in next season with buckets to spend. Then draw Steve Bruce's Grimsby in the cup.
  20. Lefties are rare. They can ply a skill that 9/10 men can't - proper left foot shots. Couple that with the fact that they shape their body up a little bit differently to most players they can be a bit special if they have a good touch. Their rarity probably just leads to coaches being more likely to overlook their weaknesses. As a side note, you might've noticed that left footers are overrepresented in the brilliant dribblers category. Well, I've heard that left-handedism is regarded as a maladaption of sorts and is correlated (probably not strongly) with both genius and retardation. So it might be that left-footedness also gives one an increased chance of just being a genius in the field. For example, there might be correlation between being a lefty and having heightened peripheral vision or something.
  21. I don't think he wants paid off. He considers himself to be a top manager and thinks he's done a fantastic job under the circumstances. He's bitter that the Saudi people won't let him be the man to march us back up the league. If project zebra happens he'll be highlighting Rafa's spending every chance he gets. Oh, and he's probably never even met Mike Ashley. Mike probably wouldn't recognise him if he walked past him at the Milburn canteen.
  22. I'll take my hat off to impressionist who can replicate Steve Bruce's accent.
  23. Don't forget constant digs at the previous manager.
