No. No side this season has given us this much space going forward, or given the ball away so much... Edit, ay - forgot about Morecambe -

Makes me livid to see there's no fans there, and to think Bruce is getting away with this -

Bruce trying to match them up going for man-for-man... Saw at one point Shelvey get pressed by about 4 players, concede a throw in. Throws up his hands blaming everyone else, not giving options. Fair, but Says a lot about any player at any level when their doing the 'ughhhh - flaps hands out- uggghh' He then gets giving the run-around by his man from the throw in and loses him to have to frantically lose a 50-50 from the restart. Sunday league stuff. Total bigtime lazy tosspot -

This performance, whilst not as shockingly terrible as usual, should serve a healthy reminder to everyone that whilst Steve Bruce is shit, a lot of those players out there are nowhere good enough for this level. Simon Jordan was obviously missing the point with his ramble the other day, but he's half right - players are shocking some of them. -

Needs to get Hayden into the midfield, and Jeffavi off. Murphy at RB ASM on, plenty of space out there if any of the current halfwits could string a couple of passes and do some running forward! -
Our best CM, and only midfielder with any defensive mobility playing a RB. What goes through this blokes mind.

Refreshing to see Darren Ambrose talk like that. Get a total difference impression from him than when you here say Dyer, Jenas or Bellamy talk about us. Ambrose comes across as he 'got it', and really valued what playing for Sir Bobby around that time meant. Speaks like he sees Newcastle and SJP as a fantastic crowd to play for, rather than a burden of expectation, moans/groans and a tough crowd to please.

PL must have the highest percentage of non-nationality managers though, even higher when you'd look at CL positions historically. The last Englishman to win a league title was Howard Wilkinson in 1991. Dread to think how many English managers have been relegated vs. finish 2nd-4th though. That being said, managerial standard would probably be comparatively higher. Ancellotti might not even finish top 8 this season, but would be expecting to win the league in any other club in Europe's top league.

Wish someone would clean up that sign

Set up one of these on top of the Strawberry aimed at him -
He was relegating Luton last season and was sacked, he ain’t an improvement on Bruce. He’s certainly not going to guarantee us staying up if he was to get the job. Not suggesting he's the answer, but I'd say he's an improvement on Bruce. Heard on a podcast couple of weeks back (Undr the Cosh I think) a player talking about how he was driving force behind Wigan's insistence on playing out from the back, keeper's passing out despite them bottom of PL at the time. He's been with Martinez for a while - Wigan, Everton, took him to Belgium side too. He's obviously going to have better ideas than Bruce is coming up with. Not sure about the getting Luton relegated, would imagine quite a few managers would have wouldn't they?

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

Bruce talking out his arse, the sob-story about missing 'certain players' and ASM in recent weeks is going to create division within the squad - both towards Bruce himself, and the likes of ASM. Gayle's probably been treated like dirt over recent years by the club. Would imagine he's had deals to leave permanently lined up, but the club won't stump up their end on wages - all the while he knows he's not fancied by the manager. Now can't get a start despite being fit, and even Wilson not scoring anymore, all the while Bruce is talking up ASM as the savior! He's going to be thinking ASM is a golden boy, who's getting away with heading back to France etc. and Bruce is a total dosser. Dressing room must be a total mess. Gayle, Yedlin unclear of their futures for past 18months+, likes of Atsu, Lazaar, Saviet, Aarons who aren't even registered that can't get moves away. Senior pros who were genuinely decent under Rafa now scratching their heads to wtf The SteveBearBunch are doing to the side/their careers. Read between lines, can see Lejune wanted out rather than stay another year (that'll add resentment to likes of Gayle, Yedlin who can't get moves), can see Schar keen to move, Almiron's agent cherping up before Christmas... -
It's mental as he usually just slags us off. "Are Newcastle fans deluded or just mentally retarded? Find out after this short message from screwfix" Never had a problem listening to him really. Obviously he acts up to the classic WUM sometimes to get calls in (The Daily Arsenal segment used to be classic ) but he actually has a better knowledge of football than a lot of the half-whits across Sky, BBC, BT and on Talksport itself. I get the impression he does his own research on the opinions he forms, and points he makes; and watches all sorts of football, rather than the games the pundits are in the studio to talk on (Redknapp, Richards), or some oaf like Clinton Morrison on Sky talking out of his arse about how Bruce was a good manager 20 years ago.

Adrian Durham has consistently talked the most sense regarding us and Bruce this season

It's a shambles. Made a point of highlighting Tiote's stats vs Hendrick last week. You have the impression Tiote went around chasing and kicking people, but a by product of that was he could get on the ball, and pass. Generally make it hard for opposition to play through our midfield. Tiote/Cabaye and Kante at Leicester was a perfect example, he gave the whole side energy. Roy Keane, Patrick Veira, Steffan Effenburg, Gattuso There is no energy within whatever XI Stinkbum Steve decides to field. Energy in transition going forward, or energy in defensive transition. A part of defensive transition is tactical fouling. We have no strong personalities, or individual leaders in our team any more. Not a single arsehole... A player that'll do anything it takes to win that little battle by not letting your midfielder run past you, or win that tackle etc. A player that'll make a that tactical foul, bollocks people and make them switch on just to win the next 10mins. Andy Carroll is the closest, but he can't actually play PL football any more, and even this season it's visible from his appearances he's not leading or rallying anyone.

Niel Rudduck actually won a cap, he played for his country. Gary Pallister, 22 caps for England. Steve Bruce, 0 England caps :aww: 5-1 cunt
-
Don't listen to the Chris Kirkland episode then.... Aye, I did watch that him, Watching it back, fair play - "for Wigan that was incredible"
-
Total wand of a left foot, he just loved a set piece... Imagine him under Pardew. Float it up to Willo... Ahh, the Pardew days, when we won corners....

Subscribed to Undr the Cosh and not once has Brucie come up... They've had plenty of middle league plodders on, talkling shite about their average careeers, but never yet hear scone against Wor Steve! Barely a mentioned. Geoff Horsfield talking about Brucie coming in and making them do fitness doggies than Man U did, and Dugarry...
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, Jack Grealish never played for Pulis....

I'd rather have Lee Clark than Nigel Pearson. That double team duo did draw away at Watford after Roeder resigned. Still, what has Pearson ever done? Took Watford job because he knew he'd be paid out, or sacked.... Take Lee Clark - at least the little b****** might kick wor Jonjo in the teeth, teach him how to kick a bugger even if you cant catch him.... SMBxLeeClark2=CHAMPIONSLEAGUEFOOTBALL

Howay, bump.. Stumbled on a video of Joey talking about Newcastle from years back... It's probably been posted in pages past, but the words he says about the club 10 years ago, are still the inner-workings of the club now... "Mike Ashley is the Ayatollah, nothing happens without his say so..." "every Premier League club since 1992, had these arrangements in place (player performance bonus contracts), they decided that we we're paid workforce, which they probably have an argument; and for Sports Direct, we should do what the subordinates do at Sports Direct do...." (2020 example: Furloughing, despite being a Premier League club)
