  1. Backs off, fair, he’s lightening... Show him onto his left foot, not ideal... Let him in the box, alarms bells are ringing!! Does all of the above
  2. Should be a finable offence in the dressing room at that level. No excuse for being that s*** 80k a week some say. He’s s****. Total joke. That lad from Brentford that run rings around us would be on a tenth of that, and we wouldn’t even be in the chase for getting him because we have first team dossers like Shelvey taking up ‘purples’
  3. Should be a finable offence in the dressing room at that level. No excuse for being that shit
  4. Game feels like one of those random South American games streamed on 365 at 2am Like I’m watching Penarol vs Colo Colo
  5. Shelvey goes any deeper he’ll be on goal kicks soon enough anyway
  6. Totally incapable of moving the ball around, orientating players and getting on the ball to beat a press or get in behind a midfield. Let alone play in behind a defence without aimlessly hoying into the channels
  7. Totally wasted playing wide left when teams like us are just going to camp in our own half.
  8. It’s unclear as yet But they definitely are not worrying about tactics, so that’s another tick Would be going better if the bloody canteen was open
  9. Potentially related, but I used to do that when I played a horrible standard Saturday league. Always dropping too deep to get the ball, it’s probably something to do with Shelvey playing with no confidence and it’s easy and a safe option for him to do - further away from opposing midfield, more time. Also drags whole side deeper, as defence can get up. Needs to show some balls stay and higher and get the ball when opposition is closer. Seems to have lost all his close control now though. Totally shot away as a PL player now Oh absolute nail on the head there. Loads love to stay safe and hide. I've know of Shelvey for years and years right back to his youth cup days and time at Charlton, he was an attacking midfielder and was miles more mobile, he's just regressed and regressed. Its everything Newcastle are missing in terms of midfield, we haven't had a player who can play the position since Cabaye, Cabaye wasn't the fastest but he showed no fear, he offered plenty in terms of attack and defence. Loved Cabaye man, probably first player since I’ve been supporting I watched every week and understood how class he was. Remembering him bossing and dragging us through thus Europa League knockouts. Held that side together, looked lost without and fully exposed Pardew’s nothing approach.
  10. Carroll floating in crosses from the right. Nothing makes sense in this club whatsoever

  12. Not going to argue against that, never popped up as anything special before, and certainly not since. He was more than decent that season though, good wavelength with Vardy, always seemed to keep ball well with different range of passing. Seems trapped in golden handcuffs at Chelsea, never going to play, but signed a contract that's too valuable to right off thus enabling him to get a club permanently and rebuild a career.
  13. Drinkwater gone to Kasimpasa, 15th in Super Liga. Really enjoyed watching him in Leicester's title season, reminded me of watching Scholes at times how he controlled their game. Thought he should have gone to Euros that summer.
  14. Very damming on the Man, the Mollusc, the Myth that is Steve Bruce if he's having to say this... Shouldn't the players already have pride in their performances? Almost as if there isn't a specially hired individual, with a small team working with him, tasked to oversee, and dare say manage individuals motivations and efforts being all collectivised toward a common team goal. Almost as if there is no goal? If many senior professionals no longer have pride in their own performances, it's f***ing obvious he's lost the dressing room. No doubt after Brentford, then Leicester. Almost certainly after Sheff U! Having him come out and say pass the ball to each other is a new low for him, and beyond embarrassing.
  15. Hate how we play 541, because we're so s**** at it. Rafa had it susses, and had good balance up top - Rondon strong leading forward, then Perez and Almiron to play behind in half spaces, but also move back into the wide midfield spots. Along with instructing and coaching 2 in midfield to actually pivot for each other higher up the pitch to rotate the ball around. Then center backs that we're able to play into midfield, and behind opposition midfield/into the forwards without resorting to kicking it as far as they can. We can't play 433, or even a 4231 - we've no creative/attack minded midfielder that is good centrally. Only viable set up is a 442/4411. Squad is just lacking talent all over to offering us up different options in setup.
  16. Team I'd like to see; Darlow don't care - Schar - Clark - don't care/Lewis Almiron - Hayden - Shortstaff - Ritchie Joelinton Wilson Team I think Meltdown Steve will pick out of a hat; Darlow Yedlin - Lascelles - Clark - Dummett Almiron - Hayden - Shelvey - Hendrick Carroll - Wilson
  17. Would like to see them tactically pick apart and highlight our failings. Remember they did a few years ago with Pardew, highlighting how everyone just walked from a kick off - think it was against Southampton. Be good for them to show everyone that actually what we're doing is both awful, and isn't working. Unlike Burnley who can be awful, but actually have a plan etc. How deep we play, failure to transition, players being lazy/walking/hiding in games, lack of any #10 presence in our side, inability to protect and defend #10 space, zero movement from forward players being so far apart from each other, Wilson isolated and swarmed by defenders with closest support 50yards away slowly jogging up. Show how Darlow has saved so many points. Throw up some of the awful stats Bruce is bottom of league in.... Won't bother talking about us though Probably just talk about Arsenal, and what Arteta is up too, then review the weekend MU LIV game, John Stones/City etc.
  18. Didn’t he do that for Wolves away. Got all pissy pre match about fans not liking Bruceball, then threw a hissy fit and filled the team with attackers - Murphy WB, Almiron, Fraser, ASM, Joe, Wilson - and needless to say that didn’t work as it was obvious nobody knew what they were doing.
  19. How the hell has Gayle ended up on a 50K contract? Contracts and this club have never made sense. We'll never allow ourselves to compete on players that are worthwhile and obviously quality as we won't pay the wages, but forever wasting money on likes of Gayle 50k, Shelvey 80k, whatever Carroll is on, another deal for Ritchie, paying Saivet/Atsu/Lazaar/Colback(when he was here) to sit on their arse.
  20. Gayle over Wilson, just to ensure the sack Who did he play up front when he lucked out on Bent scoring all those goals? Only season he's ever had when a striker has managed to score for fun mind. (edit; Forrsell 17 2003/4 Stuff of dreams at the moment getting a striker on 20+ goals in the league
