We all know what Bruce is, known of us need Shearer to tell us what we already know. I do appreciate some of Sky’s pundits ability to analyses and critique clubs they obviously have an affinity too. Haven’t watched MOTD for years now, but BBC has always been pretty vanilla when it comes to any critical analysis of any club. I’ve just grown a massive disdain for Spurs over last year, and I’ve always been a Mourinho fan, so probably not going to have most balance take on it all. Heard somewhere that since date he took over he’d accumulated 4th most points in PL. Nor sure that weasel Levy really expects, Spurs aren’t a top 2/3 club, their a 4-7th. Just bin him at end of season if you have too, before a final when you haven’t won anything in 13 years doesn’t seem best move. No doubt they’ve spent out a fortune paying him and his staff off, whilst pleading poverty ever since moving into their new stadium - government loans, furloughing staff days after huge bonuses handed out, ESL moves despite clearly not being one of Europe’s top sides. Spent a fortune sacking Mourinho, invest more into the next man whoever they would be, in the hope that they have a slightly better season and still battle for 4th. People bleet on about spending at top of the game, and salary caps being answer, but biggest issue is that sort of flagrant wasting of fortunes by owners like Levy has shown with Mourinho venture. No problem with Haaland earning 400k a week if he’s delivering 40/50 goals a season.

Aye, have always been happy enough with him being 4th/5th choice CB at start of season, and will be going into next year. He’s rarely dropped below standards you expect from him, most weeks surpassing them! where as guys like Joe and Shelvey are getting nowhere near every week despite money ploughed into them and regular starts; Hendrick, Gayle, Carroll albeit lower standards akin to Clark are getting nowhere near every time they put on a shirt.

Can’t remember last time I’ve looked at a footballers Instagram or Twitter, but I can picture the stuff on there - generic training and match day snaps, padded out with them trying to show how great their life is. Footballers don’t seem to be interesting people I’d invest my time reading about or watching - but that’s just me. It’s a constant machine of increasing and maintaining their global popularity, and they are expecting everyone at the same time to be nice to them. The world simply doesn’t work like that. Your always going to have brainless twats taking a pop or trying to knock you down. Not condoning any such abuse or excusing for what it is, but personally I don’t even think they are racist in the sense of deep lying hatred for X type of person that shapes who they are and daily life, they are just cowardice simpletons. They no right from wrong, and wouldn’t dream of projecting racial abuse in person or even in public to these players/people - yet think sending crap on Instagram isn’t going to get seen and is harmless, easy for me to say but their just retards in the definition sense of the word.

Can’t expect him to play at that level consistently across 20 odd games in a season at this stage of his career - he’s not that player, it’s only to be expected that he throws a few performances in certainly against top class talent Liverpool do have. How can you really legislate beyond existing laws within the country against brainless idiots sending messages across an app though? You can’t have some internet Police and a different set of laws everyone across worldwide. Respective countries need to address it. Personally, I’d really question why any professional footballer needs a public Instagram or Twitter account anyway, beyond furthering their own ‘brand’. If social media abuse was an horrible issue to certain players, I’d really question their morals and ask why their keeping themselves on there for. Clearly it’s worth the hassle so they can grow however many million followers. Check your ego and vanity, and leave it down to the club your playing for to post you all over their own official accounts. If they have foundations or what Rashford is up too, set up specific accounts for that.

I wouldn’t hang my hat on anything Pérez is saying. The whole thing seems so poorly constructed and I’ll thought out I highly doubt any contracts signed by clubs will see financial damages paid for the breaking of them. All I’d really be worried about seeing from all this is a reform in the league rules and structure of the PL with the FA I’d imagine so that it’s a clear case that if Man U or whoever want to go and play in a Super League it’s an automatic case of them forfeiting their place in the PL. If Man U want to go and play in a ESL, I wouldn’t really give an arse as long as they aren’t competing in the PL or even FA ran Salford district Leagues on a Sunday morn. Principally Im of opinion it being the owners clubs/businesses they can do what they like with it, but as long as your competing in PL and FA competitions these are the rules. That would put a stop to any breakout, as what with fan uproar a ESL model alone without PL or even CL competition will never add up, even before you consider the less than projected revenues gained from a ESL due to it’s toxic brand. Not expecting too much of a penalty enforced from PL on these teams, but that’s all I’d want put in place.
