  1. I listen to so many podcasts, but somebody made the point that boss at Jarrow Roofing has been I charge 20 year like... Aghhh, just fuck of Steve Bruce been in game long enough cocksip interview excuses for being statistically one of of the worst ever at his job. It it doesn’t end with Bruce, he doesn’t give a toss. All the crap about supporting us is fluff. He knows this is his last gig in management, that’s why he fucked over SW.

Southgate’s lost all the buzz he had following on from World Cup and Nations League. I saw them play Kosovo home, at Southampton, I think that would have been last SG played 4321/433 - Kosovo were brilliant in a couple of spells, but SG’s mentality is always going to be clean sheet. If we don’t have 2 solid class CB’s he’ll sacrifice whole side to stick in 3 meh centre backs. Worked up until Modric/Rakitic 2018. Been shite since against anything quality, even against Iceland recently and last few games it’s been arse. Rice,Henderson, Mount in a front 3 with Trippier on left wing?! 🙄

Connor Coady is depressing. Obviously class is Wolves’ system, but says to me Southgate is going to stick with the 3at the back/back 5. All Coady’s game is with the ball is to ping it out to full back. Usually over hit and out for throw.... Basic. Cant play in a 2, and a basic meh defender - not better than JL, but can ping a ball. Kyle Walker is much better CB in a 3 and miles better with the ball, so probably better suited in a 2 alongside teammate Stones. Coady doesn’t need anywhere near a England! Didn’t bother watching last round of fixtures, and barely gave a fuck before. Last game I remember watching was Iceland away, and Southgate still played 3 at the back!
  4. This weeks Undr Cosh podcast, Rowan Vine, skip to 7mins ish
  5. Could easily find himself with a decent few England caps, only 24 I think. Lad needs to believe in himself some more - hit 20 in the league next season for Southampton and he’s at a World Cup! Seems Northern Ireland are the only side that haven’t been fielding players born in England last few years. Ireland have always had half their squad born in England, but Wales have been quick off the mark in calling up any bit of talent with low enough career-esteem. Just do a Shola, hoy yourself into consideration when you’ve hit your 30’s and both knees are fucked...
  6. Sofia, Bulgaria - fair play to the Pardew! There as Director of Football. Thing is with Bruce, he’s too much in his comfort zone in English football. He had a cracking career as a player and that allowed him to fail so far into forging a ‘decent’ management career. When in reality, after Sunderland sacking your fucked surely? He’s now going to milk us into his 60s, and retire if his heart doesn’t give up first We all laugh at managers going abroad, but when you take a thought, fair play to them! Tony Adams, Wycombe, Pompey, Kazakhstan - Schteeve, Wolfsburg, Twente - ran out of examples, Lee Clark in Sudan! Good on em, even Pards! (Wonder if he’s found a Bulgarian James Perch yet?)
  7. If the cap fits... Seems something he’s said has riled you up at some point, as every time I’ve seen Wilder’s name crop up on this forum for last month or so, there has been a post quickly followed from you usually moaning at him with a post containing the term ‘lefty’ or ‘lefties’. Personally, I think Wilder’s been a credit to Sheffield United. League 1 to 9th in Prem was it? The overlapping full backs stuff foxed many a Championship and top PL manager. First half of this season Sheff U were never out played, and playing us showed that. Wish the bloke all the best. Think he’ll struggle to go straight back in at PL with a job, but I see no shame in having a couple of jobs in Championship over next 5 years or so and possibly not getting it right. After all he was at Northampton not long ago, and no bugger knew him. Ryan Cresswell podcast on Undr Cosh maybe early 2018 (17/18 season), he played for him in League 2, winning the title at Northampton- said Wilder was another level down in L2 and would manage in Premier League. If he turned up here next season, ehh undecided ask me what division?
  8. Honestly can’t see him getting another job. He was at his lowest ebb when we threw him a bone. 18 months on strong chance he’d have been sacked from Sheff Wed. He’ll price himself out of the real low end Championship clubs, or just have too much of an ego to go in and rescue Burton in November for example. No chance any rest of Championship are taking a punt on him, either too wise or not stupid enough now. It’s pure testament to Steve’s talents, that the whole of the second tier has evolved their playing styles and ambitions beyond him. Pearson is only picking up League 1 ‘gigs’. He only got a short term offering at Watford, obviously nothing from Championship. Since keeping Leicester up his career has gone down hill. All these mid 90s-2000s British managers are falling by the wayside one by one... Steve Bruce, if at any other club would have been sacked and retired months ago. Time he’s done here he’ll be a nervous wreck no doubt, and it’ll be fine time in his eyes to call it time on management. “Ended meh, career at club I’ve always supported, always wanted to manage, but expectations/injuries/insert-BruceyBoloocks”
  9. Rafa didn’t want a transfer budget. His last meeting with Newcastle United was regarding training ground and youth academy improvement. Rafa walked away...
  10. Howay, would chip in a few quid to hear Roy Keane analyse Jeff Hendrick’s Newcastle performances. Part of me wants to hate Keane, but he’s the most sensible and normal talking! would love to know what he was thinking when he was way Jeff.
  11. Couldn’t give a fuck a single fuck regarding that obese delinquent we have as our manager. Us/fans being able to support a Premier League side next season is now down to the players. Hoying me neck out here, but even Jeff Hendrick is going to be senior lad in that dressing room . He’s played for Ireland, he’s an experienced pro despite how turd he’s been. Jeff would have trained with sessions run by Roy Keane, playing for Dyche couldn’t be easy. Point is, even the worst performing player in this side has the mentality, and ability to survive at this level.
  12. Doubt it, whatever you read into the 50k a week he is on, can’t see board handing another contract to him. Wrong side of 30, and Bruce’s showing this season has only vindicated clubs previous mandate to be wary of over 30s! (Hendrick, deal for Ritchie who doesn’t play, signing of Carroll who’s scored 1 goal and doesn’t play, Shelvey’s goals down yet new deal (board will see goal output vs. cancer we see each week) After performances this season from him and Carroll the board will override whatever say Snorlax has to say on the matter. No chance Charnley is giving him another deal. Whatever Rafa had to say on him will still be giving him lovers regret. Especially if Bruce relegates us all, even if he’s still in a job any say on a matter will be a cause Bruce shouting from the kids table.
  13. This is the peak of pundits just ‘saying stuff’ and it being classed as analyses. f*** off has Joe Cole even watched two games he wasn’t designated to watch in a studio. Let alone two of our shitfests - take your pick, Sheff U, Brentford, Rochdale, Oxford, Newport, Leicester, Arsenal x2, Spurs away, Fulham home... Everything about that guy annoys me. Not even like Wio, more on a footballing level. At least Wio got good! Joe Cole ended up playing for Coventry! Joe Cole had all the talent in Europe, had potential to be real hot s***! Moved to be coached by the best manager in the game and never hit it off. The last thing I need to here is his hot take, or anyone or anything connected to BT or Sky Sports, and Richard Keys if your reading - regarding Newcastle United Football Club. f*** off world, Hopey is cool
  14. Disgusting that, it’s always a thinly veiled jab at one player or another without naming anyone. He is a coward, Ritchie nailed it. Rowan Vine was this weeks Undr the Cosh, bit of a helmet, but worth a listen - he moved from Luton to Birmingham and played for Bruce. He said in Bruce’s press conference he expected Vine to net another 10 goals, that would be good - 12 games to play Steve. “You haven’t signed f***ing Michael Owen” He mentioned about ‘non forwards’ not knowing how to coach attackers, referring to Bruce just waning to hoy forwards on in efforts to get goals, win games. Vine didn’t speak much about Bruce, more about Bentnder being the top dog as a teenager, shagging his daughter and going on Bruce family holidays therefore doing whatever he wanted in the squad at 18. Got subbed one game, wouldn’t sit on bench so lent against the dugout. Final whistle Bentner first in and out of shower, so whilst Bruce is giving post match talk with rest of team listening, 18 year old NB strolls across wang hanging in front of Bruce’s team talk!! Basically was a situation where Bruce toploaded his squad with forwards in a scorched earth policy regarding goals. He was cucked with Wenger, promised he’d play Bendnter, Djouro and Muamba, but double necking it with NB - he was 18 ffs!! Imagine! No wonder he had an ego rest of his career. Wor Steve spent a season edging him - scoring goals, running the roost as a teenager, shagging his daughter and on loan from Wenger! Hilarious stuff when all the pieces align!
  15. Rafa knew how much he could rely on him. Would usually sub him before a game was out. Looked the fittest, most disciplined, and his best in his career under that 18 months after we got back up with Rafa in 2018 and 2019. Countless managers have given him chances and found out to their detriment he’s not worth the effort. Daglish, Rodgers, , Laudrup, Monk, Swansea old-timer I can’t recall who was caretaker yet still binned him, Rafa... It’s laughable the list of crime against Bruce now, but Shelvey’s Teflon status, coincided with the nuking of both the Longstaff careers. Seems the rotund ego maniac took it too personally when Matty netted against his true beloved ‘United’.
  16. Aye, tonight’s last gasp point, and point away at WBA all become worthless if we don’t win against Brighton. Need to go out and win against WBA as they are in competition with us, likewise Brighton. Picking up a draw against Villa is pissing into the wind if we’ve settled at Hawthorns and end up losing to Brighton.
  17. Pinnacle of his career was 2-0 at Wembley, watching his bairn Alex throwing his blockhead in front of anything Giroud went for
  18. That’s a throwback! Used to go to a lot of Portsmouth games when I was in early teens with best mate and his Dad. We sat just above that loonatic with the bell! I remember him being foooking terrible back then!
  19. Just spent some time learning about Robeldo
  20. I’d be worried about that side on the counter like... I’d stick a solid holder in like Lamine Diatta. That’s just me, always defensive me. Plus Let’s Obertan show his box-to-box drive from the middle. Was never suited out wide...
  21. Who’s Green in midfield? It’s interesting to see the toss up between a few players due to county. France is a tough one, especially out wide like: Ginola, Robert, Hatem, Amalfitano.. Wales is a decision between Bellamy and Speed, but I went Speed midfield to stick Demba Ba up front - his record was incredible, greatest striker post Shearer.
  22. Fuuuck, brought this up the other day... It’s basically only Darren Bent that’s been able to sustain the managerial hamstring that is Steve Bruce, and score 20+ a season and be consistent up front. Notable mentioned for Steve Bruce’s daughter shagger Clinton Morrison for being somewhat prolific in Championship, but other than that Steve Bruce’s career is totally devoid of strikers scoring lots of goals. Once he’s sacked here, he’ll be to dinner speeches and still telling the story of Duggary scoring a handful to drag him out of the shit.
  23. Just heard some sound bite with him saying International break can’t come quick enough, because after that players are back fit. No retrospective analyses of performance, not even touching on how great that equaliser is for the group.
  24. Bruce doing himself no favours sticking him Andy on for scraps. Think Carroll’s past it, but Bruce throwing him on for 20 seconds and a few minutes is just going to piss him off. Just putting more doubt into manager’s decision making. That feeds down. Anyone who’s played Sunday league, or worked in an environment comparable to a dressing room - once doubt within leadership seeds, it spreads from leading figures down very quickly; and once you’ve alienated senior figures in any team you’re 90% fucked.
  25. Stream was behind the match forum, but saw Disco laughing at Gayle on a long throw and just thought the worst. But retrospective, him running out and demanding it like that shows a bit of balls. And I was most critical of his non display against WBA. Might be looking into it way too much, and if we didn’t score at end, or header was saved/crossbar it would be a different opinion - but really good to see Gayle would sprint out to take a long throw, rather than just loaf in penalty area hoping something drops. He took responsibility of situation there, was good to see. Pleased it worked out!
