  1. What talk has their been of clubs having to pay fines for breaking whatever contracts they were supposed to have signed? Doesn’t look like PL are going to do shit, so be great if it all costs them for breaking some sort of agreement they rushed into.
  2. Who’s actually watching these man-children shout and cry in front of green screens, instead of saying just watching the match?
  3. That back pass, few more passes into an invisible man, he’s long past it now. Didn’t get near Thiago, Gini or any other fucker all game. Keeping him on and shifting him back to CB is mind boggling from Bruce. He’s literally undroppable. Shouldnt even be starting ahead of Willock, but can’t even be subbed off for him takes the piss like
  4. Rhodri did a podcast with James English not so long ago. Worth a watch, came across as a top bloke!
  5. Would rather Fulham stay up in ideal world at expense of Burnley Certainly wouldn’t be fussed not seeing Burnley in PL next season. Their existence really is a death by a thousand cuts. Like Aston Villa before they finally dropped, Burnley just stinking the place out for me. (Appreciate the irony in that many fans around the country will think same of us) Like what’s the point in sticking round year after year, just get the impression their not even enjoying it themselves. They don’t seem to be. £30M on Brewster from Sheff U is obviously ridiculous, but Burnley are taking the piss signing a Josh Brownhill and Jack Cork on a freebie every 18months. The whole Wood and Barnes approach in 2021 just smacks of a club that isn’t even trying anymore.
  6. Reminded me of Rondon’s header from Kenedy’s cross against Bournemouth. Think I prefer that one tbh, just for the peach of a zinged crossfield ball into Kenedy from Schar I think it was.
  7. The sense of entitlement from Celtic and Rangers in terms of wanting something bigger and better that the PL could offer just doesn’t sit right with me. Never has, even when I was a kid and would have first heard the idea I thought it was ridiculous. Where does it end, will Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts want places in League 1/Championship because there’s more money here. So what if the PL, and English football has more money flowing through it? Don’t see what right a team playing in Scotland and under the Scottish FA has to play in it. Geographically, because England is next door doesn’t matter - Anderlecht, PSV, Feyenoord and Ajax may as well join on that basis. Scottish football isn’t the only league in Europe that is dominated by a couple of teams either. Portugese league has only two been won from two teams outside Porto and Lisbon clubs. I’ve never heard the notion of those clubs wanted a place in La Liga. Likewise, there are plenty of leagues in Europe that aren’t awash with money outside select dominant clubs. For me Rangers and Celtic playing in English leagues, even starting from bottom of the bottom is setting up a dangerous precedent that you may as well have a European Premier League, and 2nd Division for whoever wants more, more and more.
  8. If we ever had to lose a Derby (fans full capacity)... There’s not a manager in my time supporting the club I’d want more to be stood hands in pockets in technical box than Steve Bruce. Home or away, take your pick. It’s frustrating enough to think he got away with an empty Villa Park with another horrific performance this season. The best Newcastle performance he’ll ever be involved in will be the 5-1.
  9. Incredible list that! I’ve a pitiful selection to choose from sadly; 3-3 Man U 15/16 - first game at SJP 2-1 Spurs 15/16 - personal reasons, but late step father had not long passed. He was a massive Spurs fan, and he’s reason why I fell in love with watching, supporting and playing football. He never really got to see the new wave of football from 2010 onwards, and was watching side I loved vs. Poch’s side I wish he could have seen because I knew he’d have loved how they played. 6-0 QPR the best though. Not quite Nou Camp but Loftus Road and that night will always be a fantastic memories
  10. Wouldn’t ever say no to Rafa, but the pessimistic thought of never-go back, it’ll never be what you dreamed it to be wrangles with me. He’d be perfect choice to draft in once Bruce Tallow is sacked at first opportunity mind. Would like to see what Zidane is made off outside of Madrid, there’s going to be a time soon when he’ll be managing elsewhere. I’d say he’s the next generations ‘Pep’ minus the tactical ideology.
  11. Remember him at Watford away in the cup, he went down with a little knock and I’m sure he was blubbering with tears as a chorus of ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ was launched at him. Needless to say he hobbled off ‘injured’ Physio in-tow with Kleenex. Perfect storm of wrong club and wrong time for the lad. Clear as day he had talent like. Bloody frustrating looking back at players in that squad. Off the top of my head, Andros Townsend aside, everyone who left that summer has gone on to achieve some big things in their career - I’ll even throw in Mbemba bossing it in CL this season to reinforce my point.
  12. Always seems controversial to say he was largely terrible. Similarly, I get the happy ending, but he was largely hopeless all the time he was here. Just ‘worked hard’. Always hated Pardew and his constant selection of Santon and Jonas on the left side. Can half understand the logic, but it was arse backwards. Santon is better going forward, Jonas can help defensively. But Santon is right footed, so always going to be cutting in and not getting to byline. Likewise Jonas, always cutting in on the right. Jonas couldn’t score or create anything, Santon forever being easy to defend against on the inside. Pardew playing Santon and Jonas together essentially gave our whole left side a vasectomy. That and the Mike Williamson corner routine are select tactical horrors I remember vividly from Pardew.
  13. Guess this is the best place to ask this... Should a Saudi takeover happen and we were in a position to attract a top class manager - who would you want? As a total dreamer - Diego Simeone for me. At some point he has to leave Atletico, and I just picture him here. More ‘realistically’, and a inevitable sacking from Spurs, it has to be Mourinho. I’ve always had a soft spot with Jose in terms of the thought of him managing Newcastle. What with his connection with Bobby, I think he would end up a perfect fit here - similarly like Chelsea always seemed his natural home.
  14. Woodgate, Ba, Merino, Debuchy, Andy Carroll (first spell)
  15. Both the Ameobi’s, Perch, Jonas, Williamson and Colback stand out to me names I’d never be pleased to see on a team sheet. Nobody jumps out in the years in between until Bruce, maybe Yedlin and Ki, but last two years it’s coincidentally been a deluge of wasters racking up game time. Shelvey, Hendrick, Krath, Joelinton, Carroll, Gayle
  16. Aside from his goal thought Murphy was atrocious. Barely anywhere near McNeil all game and gave ball away aimlessly every chance he could.
  17. All mentioned deserve a shout. Dave Cotterill the quickest player I’ve ever seen live in person, when he was playing for Wigan. Brought on as a sub in a FA 3rd against Portsmouth. Squared up his defender, classic knock one side, run the other.. and he was gone! Pace + Ability/effectiveness is the real question nobody is answering here though... Yedlin and Obertan obvious names for running fast but having no clue what to do when defending/attacking. I enjoyed the Distin shout, but I’m suggesting Colo. I remember him to be rather quick, he was one of the best CBs in Premier League for a two season period.
  18. Have resigned myself to seeing us already mathematically down come Fulham A Prove me wrong Steve, Jonjo and Joe... Its a sad situation though, when as soon as we concede the first I’m hoping we get fucked by 8
  19. Not to flogg a dead horse... Replace Spurs/Tottenham. I know it’s boring and basic as, but Steve Bruce has never spoke like Sherwood spoke to his lads! Watford to Spurs 🇬🇧🍉🖕🏼
  20. Not sure how this is going to go down, but here’s Tim Sherwood... This is what I want from a manager who supports the club. Bruce is flat, meh. Sherwood has dead look in his eye. He knows he’s going to be sacked by Levy, but he still cares... I’d rather a Sherwood who would get same results but allow belief.. And call out players, imagine if Bruce came back, no, coward, AYE TLD watch Tim, he’s not as much of a knob as you think he is. Would love Bruce to talk like Tim.
  21. Always liked Sherwood. Let’s be honest Spurs are no further on from when he left, and he was DOF before. If it wasn’t for Tim playing Harry Kane...
  22. Didn’t get the memo on PFM? I’ve given up Bruce being a constant anyway. There is no further criticism and I’m running out of childish names to call him... Fat bottle sucking pisswilly? Hoying shit at Bruce via Alex has clearly got it’s bite. He’s got the message fans hate him. That’s without lads in grounds. I’m past caring what division this retard has us in, I just want to be in a stadium to call him a wanker, and hopefully see a root vegetable be hoyed towards him!! Frustrating to think we’d have missed all the good throwing vegetables. Seasonally speaking like. What I wouldn’t give to slap his chubby chops with some wild garlic!
  23. Dream scenario for me... Stay up, takeover and we Adkins/Pocchetino Bruce.. That scenario suits me. Leaves all the pundits grumpy, when Steve is 8th in league in November, legitimately doing a good job, but just lost away at Swansea and been knocked out on pens in League Cup by Northampton. Board have spent season working on next man charge (Simeone), and give a brutal Chelsea Di Matteo like culling of the fat Cunt. That’ll give Alex and Jim White something to say!!
  24. Only just drawn on this point now... 2/3/4000 fans being away at Brentford or Sheff U would have given a message to the squad at end of game. Fans would have had actual chances to tell them to get to fuck. Shelvey throwing his shirt after any game this season it would have been thrown back out... Rafa’s win away at Leicester win live long in memory. Imagine being in away end at Brentford and have Jeff Hendrick plod overhead hand clapping to you? I’d just wanna throw my house key at his big heed!
