  1. I had a read of the Everton forum before we played them last season and they had a 600 page thread about us. Yet some on there were claiming we were obsessed about them!
  2. Response to suggestion you should walk? SB: "I'm never going to walk; that means quitting. I'm not going to quit. Never." Response to boos against individual players? SB: "For two and a half years, this club has been difficult. It hasn't had the results the supporters want to see, and since I've been here, everybody has had their fair share of a boo. SB: "Whether it's Grant, Furlong, or Livermore, their frustration comes from not getting the results. This is not a new thing; it's gone on for a while. I came in & thought I could turn it around. I had a nightmare start, but last 12 games of last season, we hit promotion form which might have given us a bit of stability. However, we haven't had the results this year, which equates to where we are at this particular moment. It's happened too often over the last two to three years."
  3. They’ve just played Luton at home and he makes them sound like Man City: Bruce said: “Defensively I was very pleased with our display. It was much, much better. “I can’t think of many saves my goalkeeper has had to save apart from the one Alex tipped over the bar from the deflection after the break. “We got the defensive part right, but in getting the defensive part right, it’s taken something away from our attacking play. “I do believe we needed that platform. We have a hideous record of conceding early goals and we’ve put that right for today at least and we’ve come away with a clean sheet. “We didn’t create enough at the top end of the pitch and there’s the frustration for everyone to see. “It was always going to be difficult today. They are up in the top half of the table and they were in the play-offs last year. “They showed how difficult to play against they are today at The Hawthorns. “We stood up to them and I was delighted with our desire and commitment and that’s why the supporters stayed with them.”
  4. This post from the West Brom forum sums it up: "Eat, sleep, get paid compo, repeat"
  5. Post from the West Brom forum ? ‘Surely after tonight's performance he has to go by 2200? We attack like old people make love ffs!’
  6. Not sure whether to watch Real Madrid Vs Shaktar to check out this Murdyk we’ve been linked to or Brucey’s West Brom
  7. The latest from 1,000+ game Brucey: "I speak to Ron every day, I really don't need reassurances, I really don't think that's the right word or whatever," Bruce said, when asked by BirminghamLive whether he'd spoken with the CEO. "We all know the job and we have to get on with it. I speak to him every day as part of my job. He's going to be disappointed like everybody else is. My job is to focus on how can I win on Wednesday, and if I can win on Wednesday how can I win on Saturday. "Then the football world for us anyway is a little bit of a better place. I can't take that for granted [relationship with Gourlay], I need to get a result too. "He's as disappointed as everybody else. Let me just put it [out], we need to get him a few results too, but the one thing he's said from day one is we're all in it together and that's the way it will be. "At a football club you're judged on results and for me the results haven't been good enough. So whatever's coming your way you have to accept because West Brom for the last 20 years has been in the Premier League or top end of the Championship and that's the demands, that's what we all sign up for in football." It's not the first time that Bruce has been faced with a situation as difficult as this; at Newcastle, and prior to that at Aston Villa, he's found himself under pressure to deliver positive results, in this division and the one above. He maintains that he is the man for the job, the one who can arrest this slide, which began with relegation from the top flight in 2021 and which he takes a share of the responsibility for, provided he is granted time - though that is a finite commodity. "Chance is for other people to decide, all I can do is try to draw on my experience of tough times before," Bruce added. "I'm convinced I'll turn it round. I've got to be clear that at times we've been close, could've won two, three, four of those games but we haven't. Let's keep bashing away and see where we can go."
  8. Like it was keeping Jesse Lingard right?
  9. Scouse cu**s already showing their true colours https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=pajk7pkn1vt3a3t7vc1dc9mbfo&topic=282654.19960
  10. Had a look at the thread, it’s started by a Swindon fan I think.
  11. from the Leicester forum: Was at the match, madders stayed longer than any other player after the match. He just stood still and stared at the away fans. Justin had to pull him away. Looked like an absolutely broken man. Look what you've done to our star Rodgers you muppet.
  12. this is against Frankfurt last season
  13. Brendon going a bit Scott Parker in his after match quotes: "I feel for them because they have given absolutely everything. With the greatest respect, we have not had the help in the market this team needed. But it is just a case of pushing on once this window closes.
  14. Bruno Lage going on about how they dominated and how we stole a point…. Wtf! The man is delusional.
  15. Don’t think Manchester United would be good for him, can see Rio asking him to chip in ?
  16. Rio and other Man Utd fans should put their money together and buy the club, don’t know why they are moaning about the Glazers ?
  17. What about Troy Deeney or Pukki on a short term deal? Seems to fit the age range..
  18. They sold Bruno for £40m, not sure your mate has an opinion I would trust…
  19. Another bad egg, you guys need players with the right attitude as Neville and Keane keep saying.
  20. Reading the Forest forum, they are a bit shell shocked at how bad they were and how good we are now. I think it just shows how big the gap to the premier league actually is…
  21. Can’t blame Maddison if he wants the move, playing for a tinpot like Leicester he’s better than that!
  22. Longstaff looked good tonight
  23. Roko Simic Is apparently the next Sesko, so we might as well target him know before all the big fish start circling.
