If they are going to do the ambition AS talked of when they takeover happened (i.e. winning the PL within 5 - 10 years), then they will have to do a Man City for that
-
Unless everything has just been agreed today
-
Aye the stupid cunt said we could be facing a fine.
-
If you look at Bournemouth’s record that’s a no. Looks like he might get the job, so he certainly deserves the support and the opportunity if he is appointed. Still maintain it will be a disaster, I just hope he proves me wrong If he gets the job. Trust me, nobody will be happier if he does.
-
They’re both shit and should be out the door asap, that’s the problem.
-
Personally as I’ve already said I think he will be an absolute disaster and that Caulkin article about vote being split, happy to work with Jones and worked before with Ritchie - fuck off man
-
Every foreign manager, when they first come, is in the same boat, some succeed very well and some don’t. However you see UK managers like Bruce (with tons of Premier League experience) failing time and time again. If a manager is good enough and has a decent track record of results, player/team development, tactics, in play management etc etc and at a decent level, then that should be first priority when hiring, not what League they have not managed in.
-
He is the last reporter (including Edwards) I would take any notice of. He’s always very anti Newcastle and I’ve yet to see one positive article about the club over the years. Even the way he writes that article you can tell, ‘turned down by a long list of managers’, ‘shambolic’, ‘chaotic strategy’. Fuck him the blokes a total cunt when it comes to us.
-
Agree, but he should be nowhere near the future proposals for how the club operates in anyway, and that he was involved in the new manager deal is an absolute NO. He should be purely there to give guidance on how the club was operating prior to the takeover. As you said transitional figure, nothing more.

Ashley has gone and I'm sure they will get things sorted, I think nobody would disagree though that it has not been the best of starts by a longway
-
They haven't even registered on Companies House as being the new owners yet. Still states it's Charnley running the show
-
Judging by comments on here (mine included) and elsewhere I have seen, then that is certainly not going to be Howe
-
If you believe that, then fine, I think he will be an absolute disaster. Time will tell as I think he will be the manager
-
His defensive record, just have a look at how many goals Bournemouth conceded each year, which is exactly the one key area we need to strengthen immediately.
-
Except he can't organise a defence for toffee, exactly what is required right now. Disaster of an appointment if it is him. What a total fuck up by the consortium this is mind - fucking Lee Charnley doing the negotiations, Jones guaranteed his job, howay man. I cannot see PIF being happy with their UK consortium members.
-
Yeah I honestly do think he is
-
The fact it has come from Caulkin who is AS go to, tells me it's not just media bollocks and speculation.
-
It's absolutely laughable that he is involved in any decision making under the new owners. I can understand him being an advisor for the move between the old and new ownership. but to have that absolute prick anywhere near actually being involved in any decision making and especially the hiring of a new manager is a fucking joke.
-
That to me, if correct (it's came from Caulkin I believe who is a puppet for AS), then that single handedly is one of the worst decisions you can make.
-
Yeah it is, just seems very specific what it includes and suggests to me he’s had a conversation with Emery or one of his associates. Keep saying it, but we will just have to wait and see
-
Man Utd won’t touch Emery, they’re well beyond his level now. Maybe 5 years ago, but not after Arsenal and the drubbing he got off our press
-
Nope the one after that
-
Hope did change his story, backtracking ever so slightly in his last updated tweet
-
If true, looks like he’s mightily pissed off with the leak before a major game and the lack of total professionalism it shows. We will see tomorrow what happens
-
I look at the many poor signings he made and the amount of goals conceded every season. He also went to Burnley and couldn’t handle it. As I said I don’t rate him at all and think he will be like a rabbit caught in the headlights up here. He may well be coming here now though.
