Kinda suggests that he is. No it says there is a date to talk about what happens, not that he’s actually getting one. Previous examples tells you that this club doesn’t let you know when you are being released, they just do it. You said the chronicle says he IS getting a contract it doesn’t.
-
Go down and no takeover then up to half a grounds worth I would say.

Doesn’t say at all he’s getting a new contract.

You don’t need any type of quality manager to tell you how to kick a ball properly. I firmly believe that Joelington coming was the last straw for Rafa who publicly came out and said he was worth nowhere near the money involved. The bloke is absolute garbage. Just seemed like MA chose Joelinton over Rafa, more or less. Think it’s more of a case Rafa didn’t want Joelington and thought enough is enough when forced on him

Yep where plenty seem to be at. I hate that Bruce c*** more than anything and more than anyone Bruce has to be number 2 behind the utter c*** on an owner who has decimated this club. -

If that’s the case why has he will fully allowed it to happen twice already with a more than serious possibility of a third one incoming. That doesn’t scream out that he cares one f***.
-
Think the last two years is the final straw, but, we will see if we go down and Ashley is still the owner.
-
I honestly think if Ashley is still here then it won’t matter, people I know have just had enough and let’s be honest, which half decent manager would take the job as proven by the multitude not interested before Bruce took over. I’d be surprised if Howe did take it and to be fair I’m far from convinced by him anyway. Better than Bruce for certain, but, not a great barometer to measure though.

And then the whole recycle starts, with players not up to the premiership, being first team players for years to follow in the event of promotion, as we circle round the drain until we drop again. I still maintain (some disagree on here) that crowds will plummet if we are relegated, however, any single person who does go deserves every s*** performance and no hope or joy they experience, because each and every one are part of the problem.

Still doesn’t answer the question why risk losing up to half the value of the deal if he knows there is a good chance the deal will go ahead. The man is a stubborn daft c***. Apart from not wanting to pay Bruce off he probably doesn’t want to admit he was yet again wrong and should have backed Rafa instead of going for a clueless clown like Bruce and paying good money for him too Even he is not stupid enough to jeopardise a guaranteed fee of 350 million. IF this deal was close then he has never been in that situation throughout his ownership. Which leads me to think the takeover is not close and that’s exactly why he’s following his previous blueprint of gambling.

They are and at the same time the other top teams are dropping points left, right and centre.

With Grealish in I agree they are a good side (not very very mind), not so much with him missing. -
Think Fulham will be ok it’s between us and Brighton I feel now for the last spot. IF we are are roughly the same points after the Brighton match away and IF Wilson and Almiron return after the break, then we have a chance.

Got to get rid of the current system with the players we have available as it doesn't suit them. I'd be tempted to go 4-4-2 with Frazer and Murphy (wingers), Manquillo and Dummett (full backs), Hayden and Willock (midfield) and Carrol and Gayle up front ( but better than Joelington up top). Don't know if Grealish is playing as he is the one that makes Villa tick and runs the show every time I see him play. Think we will keep the same system and same players as we did on Sunday though and meekly lose by a couple (expecially if Grealish plays). -
No he was pictured going into training smiling for a few days after and then having a face like a smacked arse leaving the training ground after he had been sacked.

The Consortium would not buy a "Championship Club" for the money that they have agreed with Ashley to buy Newcastle United for. Hopefully, we will not be relegated, but if we are a Premier League Club in the Championship for a season - who cares? Certainly the Consortium won't care, why would they. Can people not understand the difference between a Championship Club and a Premier League Club temporarily in the Championship? After all we have done it twice under Ashley, so it would be no hardship under the Consortium and with Benitez at the helm. It would not affect the Takeover, it wouldn't really affect the development of the club under the new owners either, as they will have to replace pretty well 100% of the playing staff and non-playing staff, no matter which division we are in when they take over the club. The logic of this is obvious, but (I suppose) "cue the scatter-gun vitriol" !!!!! Ashley imho would not sell at a reduced price and nobody would pay that amount for a championship club and there lies the problem. If you think he would reduce the price fair enough, but, history doesn’t back up that theory. My post explains that the Takeover would not be affected - the 'price' will remain the same, by a season in the 2nd Division. So you really think they would pay the same price for a championship club? I think you’re living in lala land there mind if you do. As I say above, a Premier League Club in the Championship for a season (with all their money and Benitez) is a very different animal to a "Championship Club". We will see, personally think you’re miles off, but, time will tell.

The fact he continues to get a game every week is absolutely criminal. The bloke is an absolute joke of a footballer.
