  1. It does help us, in that we can certainly increase revenue to enable increased spending. Roll on the summer new sponsorship/commercial deals.
  2. It's not just end of season though it's all their home crowds (apart from Boxing Day one). As for the 80s, I was there every game and it was widespread throughout football and not just one club, as football was in a massive decline at that point.
  3. They keep going on about tickets sold to try and defend their bullshit attendances. I'm sorry, but there is no way that 5,000 plus fans (in some mid week games there is nowhere even near 30,000 are there) do not attend after forking out money for a ticket. Maybe a few hundred, at max a 1,000 will not turn up due to varying reasons. It's plainly obvious that they are counting tickets which are given away to schools, universities or businesses within that total. 5,000 plus not turning up after paying cash to attend my arse. By the way anything over 25,000 isn't a bad crowd in the championship, but for the majority to try and defend utter bollocks is laughable.
  4. The away strip is ok, but the other two are pretty boring. So much for dazzling kits as they are certainly not (if true)
  5. 11 pages on losing a generation of fans. It's sinking in and as already mentioned, that match in January has totally broken them.
  6. I see we have scored five goals more than anyone else at home this season. A few got a game in hand, but that's unreal
  7. Still give PSG and AC Milan a game though
  8. He needs to get Murphy off and Barnes on and get someone from the crowd to replace Longstaff as he couldn't do any worse
  9. I've always believed you upgrade your first team first and then the squad will automatically improve. I respect your opinion though, just disagree.
  10. So is the previously leaked home shirt legit then?, as that is anything but dazzling and pretty boring, with a horrendous big white patch on the back to boot
  11. He's the first team player though so my theory is right. All the others were squad players.
  12. I might be totally wrong, but I think it came down to the summer transfer window. I said after it had ended it had been a poor window. As I've said many times, in our current placement, we needed to concentrate on recruitment of 'first team' players. Players replaced then become squad players, which automatically improves the squad. This didn't happen, and my opinion is that this was down to Ashworth, and Howe wasn't happy..
  13. Don't think that this has anything to do with ambition. To me it's down to a power play between him and Howe, which Howe has won (rightly or wrongly)
  14. Don't feed the troll. Just ignore him
  15. Got to bring in first team players this summer. If you want to progress this is the only way. The players they replace will then become squad players and we can get rid of the crap we have hanging around.
  16. So why is he saying it then (if true he did). Sorry total bullshit
  17. So a break is good if we start getting results (Dubai), but it's not if we get beat and put in a woeful performance. Sorry Eddie that's just total bullshit
  18. I honestly don't think Longstaff helped by falling a couple of seconds after the foul was made. Give the referee and var a get out.
  19. It'a not just today though, it's just about every away game
