  1. But that begs the question why Wilson’s wasn’t disallowed yesterday? The keeper was ‘touching’ the ball with two hands and he was challenged for the ball. I’m not saying I think it was a foul, but reading that, it was?

Makes sense reading that rule why keepers get so much protection and fouls are given every time they drop the ball.

    Below is the law

"A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:

the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save

holding the ball in the outstretched open hand

bouncing it on the ground or throwing it in the air

A goalkeeper cannot be challenged by an opponent when in control of the ball with the hand(s)."

Well, it’s actually the right decision then  But a dreadful rule.

  3. It was only disallowed because of Schmeichel’s theatrics too.

Didn’t even kick his hand, got the whole of the ball and there was naff all wrong with him.

Wouldn’t have even been considered a foul if he didn’t act like he had his hand removed.

Though Joe Allen would have carved out a decent Premier League playing career like a James McArthur or something but he seems happy to stay in the Championship. Must be on good money.

£50k a week in the Championship.

  5. Sounds more and more like a disaster season every week.

Would quite like Rafa to get the boot because they’ll probably give it to Big Dunc till the end of the season and really give themselves every opportunity at being relegated.

Those pesky women, you'd have thought they'd be satisfied (thankful) when we allowed them equal rights but now they're wanting enhanced rights for their showpiece event?

It's a good point about standalone teams for women, I think that's what they have in America and there are a couple of teams in the Women's Championship that are distinct. I think I'd probably be in favour (just as long as they're not demanding their matches be broadcast on Men's television) but can understand why it's not the case here.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting that. More so just disappointed there is not a PL game to watch at 2pm.

It’s the same as rugby for me. It’s a crap sport that I have no interest in and if there was no PL game being shown at a time to make way for a rugby match, I’d be disappointed by that too.

Not liking women’s football doesn’t necessarily equal sexism.

They play today then Napoli on Thursday night then us again Sunday. Hopefully some tiredness in their legs. I think we could get something.

Napoli is a game they must get a result from too. Not even like they can put a real weak team out.

Interestingly they’ve won two, drew two and lost one directly after a European game this season. All against mediocre/average teams (Brentford, Leeds, Palace, Watford, Brighton).

Gives us a great chance, imo.
