Honestly what players say in public and private (like with most people) is different.

Absolutely. But if they all hated him as much as reported, they wouldn’t be falling over themselves to back him. They have no reason to. Players also usually love a cheeky Instagram jibe after a sacking too.

It's been reported that Kane was the only player by the end that was still happy playing for Mourinho

Toby Alderweireld has revealed that he and his teammates were sad to see Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff leave Tottenham last week.”

Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has insisted that his teammates must take the blame for Jose Mourinho’s sacking.”

    Sounds like just Kane.

How do you know they were inaccurate reports?

Well a number of players (Kane included) coming out in support of him this week, when they have no allegiances left, is a stark picture.

Especially when one article named Kane as a player desperate for him to go.

Possibly isn't anything, but I don't understand why people just don't wait until it comes out first before having opinions. If it's shit they will both get deserved pelters after the build up.

    Great idea.

Why have opinions on anything until it happens, in that case?

Lock the relegation thread and fuck off pre-match threads, we can give them pelters after the event.

  5. Losing their manager due to a crackpot Super League plan a week before their biggest game all season. Great work Levy.

At least he was able to leak inaccurate reports of the players hating him though.

Their next appointment will be underwhelming and they’ll lose Kane this summer.

  6. No way do Fulham or West Brom win 4 out of the 5 remaining games.

They’ve both only won 5 all season. It’d take a herculean change in form. They’ve both been guilty of a lot of draws and that’ll continue imo.

I suspect it’ll be over in the next game week. I fancy us to take something from Arsenal who are poor and undoubtedly concentrating on their Europa semi.

How do you rate Henry Mauriss' first 6 months in charge at NUFC?

He reported on something he was fed by the Ashley camp. Hardly outrageous. Fake news, totally.

It’s no different to Kennedy being fed false hope since November like

Unfortunately, the bad news from the likes of Jacobs and Edwards often comes true and the good news from Caulkin and Kennedy is still to be seen, over a year later.

Wow! Just seen the video. Never thought I would see the day we get put to shame by Arsenal fans but here we are. They have done more tonight against their owner than we have in 14 years against Ashley depsite Ashley been far worse

Not like tubes to completely overreact

Aren't they crippled with injuries or have I made that up?

They were at the start of the run but I think it’s eased now. Only 3 players out of the last game and I think only one of them (Romeu) is considered first 11.

  10. Southampton’s form is impressive.

After beating Liverpool 1-0 and sitting in the top 6, they’ve now won 2, drew 1 and lost 13.

That includes a 9-0 defeat, being spanked by West Brom and somehow losing to us with 9 men.

Only 9 points from relegation now.

Already edited my post to that effect, didn't want to exclude another of my favourite pieces of border related football trivia!

This sort of knowledge is what first dates are made for.

Has to be approaching the very top bracket in terms of time at an elite level combined with goal record. Ridiculous.

It's weird how he doesn't get talked about in that very top group of players.

    Completely agree. Massively underrated.

  13. Wycombe only 6 points behind Derby now, albeit with 3 games left.

Could’ve been even tighter. They were beating Swansea and Luton in the last few weeks before dropping 4 points in the last 10 minutes of both games.

Derby in massive danger by the way, Rotherham 4 points behind with 2 games in hand. Sheff Wed and Wycombe also waiting in the wings. They play Sheff Wed on the final day too.

Really can't see us getting relegated now.... and I think we are shite.

With Wilson coming back in, we will be fine.

Yup. Possibly would be safe without another point, tbf.
