I hope Howe has a plan to keep Coutinho quiet

Went to look at WBA forum and apparently a previously solid defence looks very shaky…

I have to disagree. I think Leicester are a bigger club than Sunderland. I also think the Premier League has moved on financially since Leicester won it and I doubt that level of investment would achieve the same nowadays. I would also think the infrastructure in place at Leicester was far better than Sunlun's. Their squad is so poor it would need many millions and a good management team in place just to get into and stay in the Championship.....at the minute they can't afford someone to even pick up the litter ffs
Leicester were in League One when they were taken over.
Disagree about them being a bigger club, before the investment they were similarly sized.
I was just saying, if Sunderland received the same investment at the same time they could have had a similar outcome.

I don't think we can honestly class them as "rivals" anymore - they're nearer Hartlepool, Carlisle and Darlo standard.
They are however a constant source of ignorance, idiocy and amusement.
Reading RTG is like reading Facebook comments, I find

Totally agree with this and although the best they could ever do would be a Brentford/Watford type of club (which would require £millions investment) they are years away from achieving that
To be fair, they could be bigger than that. Most clubs could.
Leicester were nothing before their current owners, which is often played down but their owner is one of the wealthiest outside the top six. Aye they won the league from nowhere, but they’ve spent a significant sum.
The mackems have a much bigger fanbase, less manufactured stadium etc. if they had the same investment Leicester did, they’d be just as successful as they were.

We actually have the exact same amount of points then we did in the 2018/19 season as we do now. That season we ended up with 45 points, more of that please
No team has ever survived with no wins in their first 14 games though™

@ManDoonisn’t able to reply due to the significant monitoring of his post count in each thread.
Needs to post elsewhere to balance it out before the clique jump on him again.

Did Richarlison get Bruno and Joe's shirts there?
Edit: Aye he did
Always found the art of swapping shirts quite odd.
Seems a bit cringey as a 20-something year old to be asking to have someone else’s sweaty shirt after playing a match in it.

A great debut and I can’t stop thinking how much he reminds me of James Blunt.
-
As thick as always and it could have cost us.
Shouldn’t be anywhere near the team, tbh.
-
Is it not quite remarkable he’s only got 7 assists in the PL (147 games)?
Would expect a target man to get quite a few, particularly playing regularly and almost always a guaranteed starter.
By comparison, Mitro surpassed that figure easily in three years in a struggling Fulham side.
Just a terrible signing really, but hopefully he’ll contribute enough (or those around him will) to not make it significant. Would be extremely concerned if he’s playing for us next season.
-
Think we’ll win this. Similar to the Everton game, although they’ll be much better opponents.
3-1.
-
This thread has turned into exactly what I expected, people falling over themselves to justify his signing/contribution to the team because he can’t hit a barn door.
As I’ve said, he’s done nothing so far that any generic big lump striker couldn’t achieve.
Hopefully he’ll get better because we’ll need a contribution from him as players like Trippier, Fraser and own goals won’t go in every week.

Love the fact that he explains so carefully that he's not trying to have a dig at the previous regime but ends up doing it anyway.
He’s made a dig at Bruce? Missed that. Love him now.

Who was that defender they brought on by the way, Branthwaite? Looked and played like he had high heels on.
-
-
Possibly controversial, but I really like his link up with Trippier and they seem to have a really good understanding together already.

Just the 10 minutes for the pensioner tonight.
If you pay £20 more you’ll probably get her for 30 minutes you tight bastard.

Oh so close
-
Said it all along but we’ll be closer to 10th than 18th by the end of the season.

Between this place, Everton’s forum and RTG, not sure I’ll be going kip any time soon
It’s a wonderful evening.

Wonderful performance tonight and he was unlucky not to cap it with a goal or another assist.
