Just one wanker, surely? That's like saying all Geordies punch horses. Never thought Leicester were a horrible club, aside from the goal music.

Been to Leicester throughout the 80s and 90s? To be fair, their current crop just as bad. Causing trouble this season too.

Thats not from this evening is it? Looks like an empty stand in the background

I think it is, you can see Yates (number 22) quite clearly. The celebration is similar to what happened too.

Keinan Davis looks the part but his goalscoring record is hilariously bad. 9 competitive goals despite playing a fair amount of football since 2017.

Spose it's a bit strange that he hasn't had a loan until now.

Again the stats hide things a bit, he’s only actually started 25 league games. 2 in 3 starts for Forest so far.

Think he looks brilliant personally. People underestimate how tough it is for strikers to score if they’re not starting regularly, hardest position to come off the bench imo.

  4. He’s played the equivalent of 63 games in 6 seasons (total minutes / 90), in all competitions. Pretty much 10 full games a season.

He'd have been absolutely ideal for us at this stage.

What’s the deal with Iheanacho? When he burst on the scene it looked like he’d go on to be world class. Whenever I see him, he looks really good but he doesn’t seem to have pushed on like I thought he would. Does he blow hot and cold a lot?

He’s constantly in and out of the team at Leicester, was a shit move for him imo because he was never going to oust Vardy from the side.

Think he’d be really useful for someone if he was first choice.

Tough one this, absolutely detest Forest and their fans after a couple of trips down there but cannot stand that cheating little weasel bastard Maddison.

They’re both horrible clubs. To be fair, every club in the Midlands is.

    Derby probably the least dislikable.

Maybe they should just employ you as DoF Fanny you always make these deals sound so easy.

Meanwhile back in the real world…….

As has been repeated many times, you don’t need to be a DoF to have an opinion as a fan.

A bit like your incorrect legal opinions, Keith.

Also sounds like the player wasn't convinced it was the right move for him anyway.

There's stuff to criticise the club for during the transfer window but not sure this is one

You don’t think it was a mistake to chase a player throughout the whole window, placing offers below the asking price and then improving the offer on the final day without the assurances the player would sign?

Leaving us with Chris Wood as our only striker. Seems a pretty big error to me.

The club were trying to get a bid accepted throughout the window.

It sounds like Reims compromised and eventually accepted our bid at the last minute but it was too quick for the player to make a decision on the last day. Not sure how that's our club's fault?

No, we improved our offer to meet the same demands they had throughout.

Could have made that offer a week earlier.

We were after him for weeks, it hardly came as a surprise to him that we were interested in him

Having a club interested in you and having a bid accepted are two different things.

  11. Said it since they went down, but really think they’ll end up being an Ipswich and languishing in that league for 10+ years.

Would be surprised if we see them in the PL for a long, long time.

I know it's a meme but Burnley really are horrendous on the ball. Even Cornet looks like absolute shite around the box.

It doesn’t help that their wingers player about 15 yards behind Cornet and Weghorst. They’ve actually won a couple of knock downs but there is nobody to pass to.

No doubting his managerial path mirrors his playing career, he is a winner. He was ruthless calling out the club when he arrived, shipped out half the squad in no time at all, not much left behind closed doors!

Publicly talked about the things he didn't like or accept at the club and was given the keys to the club by our owner to change what he wanted.

The way in which the club has transformed since his arrival has been incredible, the level of professionalism, dedication, detail is something the club has needed for far too long.

Watching him on the sidelines he studies relentlessly, presents well in the local media and has a lot of belief in himself.

Away from football it's another Crown Court case next month, if found guilty of assaulting his wife he will be gone, and managerial career in tatters.

If it's a not guilty I think he can take us to the Championship, he is an astute manager, recruited what is arguably the strongest league two squad in under a season , he's found a way he wants to play which is pleasing on the eye, at times!

Feels like a knife-edge situation for his career now with court next month.

Really interesting, thanks. Such a shame, undoubtedly has talent as a manager but will potentially lose it all because he cannot stop being a thug. Assuming he’s guilty, that is.

As you say, mirrors his playing career really.

Seems strange we’ve sent Anderson there if Barton will potentially be gone in a month though.

North side of the river I hope!

Worth a trip the way it's going, Elliot got a good 40 minutes in and impressed by many accounts. Quoted on twitter: Looks a class above on ball and movement, missed a couple of half chances, when he gets up to speed no doubt he’ll be the best player in this league.

A decent point overall, at 3rd place Sutton today, were unbeaten in 5 and lost to of the last 12, 60 points to play for and plenty of noise and the club feels as one again for the first time in a few seasons.

I would imagine that Elliot will enjoy his time down here, get used to the physicality and benefit as a young player, rather than be mostly on the bench at Luton, Barton has all of them running through brick walls now.

How has Barton got on? Without following his managerial career too intensively, he’s seemed to do well in the lower leagues?
