Arsenal have one again done some crazy business.
PEA flogged for free, loads of squad players sent off on frees and barely a single incoming.
Their strike force now being Lacazette and Nketiah with 3 goals between them all season (none for Nketiah).
Still so many holes in that squad and expensively crap players around it. Paper thin now though.

Did they sign Defoe in the end? On a free so assume he can be signed at any point?
Still not sure what impact a 39 year old could have? Akinfenwa is 39 and has 4 goals in 22 appearances this season so you’d assume Defoe would be able to better that?
But upfront was never an issue for them, so don’t see how this addresses their problems.
Interesting names being bandied about for the 12-month FTC managers post mind. Hopefully they end up with some knacker.

I don’t get this point of view. You judge each situation on it’s own merits.
I don’t constantly judge and assess my current partner based on my ex. Equally, I wouldn’t put up with my job being crap if my previous one was even shitter.
Aye, if we still had Ashley it’s incomprehensible how bleak the current season would be. But we don’t have Ashley, had a balance of £100m+ to play with and it’s okay to step back and say “maybe we could have spent that a bit better in some places, or made that deal sooner, or did this rather than that”.
Hopefully it’s enough. Really excited by the potential of the summer though.
