If you're a plucky, hard working team on the verge of making history and you need to win one game at home, you couldn't pick a better opponent than Chelsea. A flimsy rabble of hapless cowards. Fair play to the mackems, the European spots have been on a plate all season and they've shown the testicular fortitude to go out and grab one.

I hope I'm wrong, but I really think that the club have made the wrong decision to keep Howe for next season. I can't guarantee that his successor would be any better, but I know the look of a dead team when I see one

It wouldn't have even been so bad if Arsenal were runaway leaders all season and West Ham were dead and buried by March, but the fact that an Arsenal bottlejob and a Spurs relegation were realistic possibilities only to be snatched away as soon as you could get excited about it makes it all the more cruel. Add onto that two utterly forgettable cup finals that no one gave a fuck about including the fans of the teams competing in them, a boring set of clubs being promoted, Celtic being a basketcase all season and still winning the league at expense of Hearts, the world cup shaping up to be an over Americanized, anti football shitshow cynically designed to fleece the fans at every turn and of course the mackems completely outperforming us in every single metric. And that's just the stuff external to Newcastle!

Good luck with the final today @MagPar. If it is Martin O'Neill's last game for Celtic, it's pretty cool that it's in the cup final against his apprentice Neil Lennon. It's also pretty funny that some Rangers fans will be wanting Celtic to win so they get Europa League instead of Conference League.

Aside from Bruno, Hall has been our best player this year, no other English Newcastle player even comes close.
