Of all the things that have gone wrong this window, I can't fault the clubs resistance to Isak and Liverpool and not buckling to the external pressure. But at the same time, neither Isak nor Liverpool have given us much of a choice to make. Liverpool want him, but won't pay a fair price for him. Isak wants to leave but won't submit a transfer request. They clearly thought they could bully the club into a compromise and to our credit we've stood firm. Isak is now essentially on strike, but I doubt it'll make us budge. All he's done is burn what was left of the bridges he had here. I feel personally insulted as a fan the way he's disrespected the club I love, I can't begin to imagine how Burn, Bruno, Lascelles, Joelinton, Tripps and co feel about him, not to mention Eddie and JT.

I had my heart set on the Leicester lad, I'm sure Ramsey would raise the floor of our CM options but it's an underwhelming link to say the least.

I get he wants more money, who doesn't, but I just can't fathom why he's so desperate leave us to the point where his best option was to go full scorched earth against us to force through a move to fucking Liverpool who couldn't and wouldn't pay his asking price from the off. Would it really have killed him to sign a bumper deal making him the highest paid player at the club (which all of us thought should've been our #1 priority this summer) and playing here for one more season in the CL and having another run at the top 4, leaving us with his legacy intact once a European giant comes in for him? Is Newcartle really such a footballing backwater that the mere thought of being trapped here on a paltry 120k a week sends shivers down his serpentine spine? The most deplorable aspect is that he's been lurking in the shadows getting his bum agent to brief the usual cartel whores against us. His agent, Liverpool and the twitter shills have all contributed to this mess, but make no mistake, this is 100% the fault of the player. Over the weeks there's been ample opportunity for him to fix this mess somewhat, Eddie himself has offered an olive branch in he press a few times but he's well and truly crossed the Rubicon with that Ornstein briefing. The club has done as well as they possibly could have with this situation, they have been defiant and they need to dig their heels in even more so now, we absolutely can not do any deal with Liverpool now, even if they offer the asking price, this is now a matter of a principle, Isak's behaviour must not result in him getting what he wants. He's not backing down, he's doubling down, we must do the same, it's encouraging to see that the rest of the football community is starting to turn on Isak and call him out on being a snakey cunt, he represents all that is wrong with player power. I've never felt so angry towards one of our own players and this is a club that once employed Nile Ranger! Let this bum fuck off home to Sweden or Sociedad or wherever for the season, I fucking hate him

Any man who makes Pardew and Agbonlahor the voices of reason is doing something completely wrong. I'm just waiting for a thread to appear on RTG condemning his behaviour to confirm that we have entered a parallel universe. I'd be able to salvage a shred of respect for him if he came out with a statement himself rather than hiding in the shadows getting his bum agent to brief the cartel puppets

Absolutely out of the question. Whatever skimpy fee we get for him will barely make a dent in the fee it would take to replace him. Not to mention the leadership, mentoring and experience we'd be losing. Tell Monaco to get themselves to fuck unless they want to pay 150m for Isak

Estoril are my local team. €60 for a season ticket, which is worth it for the Benfica, Porto and Sporting games alone. The Portuguese league is one of the most "oh, i didn't realise he was still going" leagues, at Estoril you can still find Equilim Mangala and Joel Robles. The ultras smoke a lot of weed which stinks out the entire stand, aside from that it's canny day out.

Get off your fucking phone you zoomer and chat to the barber about the weather and your plans for the weekend. Kids these days man

Romano has been shouting from the rooftops all summer about how it's only matter of time before Isak joins Liverpool, the cunt has been relentless with it. Although the language he uses now makes it sound like he's slowly retreating and gradually breaking the news to dipper fans that Newcastle have the temerity to refuse their derisory offers. And I won't accept that his change in wording is down to English being his 2nd language, his grasp of the English language is second to none

I for one would like to express my deepest, heartfelt gratitude to Liverpool, the paragons of football virtue, for the honour of showing an interest in our star player. It is truly humbling that they want to do business with us and it will forever be a mark of shame that my club acted so disrespectfully towards them by not engaging in serious negotiations when they were just a mere 40m short of the valuation. It's heartbreaking to hear that Liverpool were upset by our unequivocal stance and I urge Newcastle to find it within their hearts to come to a resolution that suits both Liverpool and Alexander Isak. Thank you once again Liverpool and Liverpool fans for acting with such humble grace and decorum, your elegant conduct is an example to us all. We wish you all the best for the upcoming season, may you retain your rightful title with ease.

The redemption of Alan Pardew, Luke Edwards being the lone warrior in the media defending Newcastle, the best player we've had in generations shape shifting into a devious snake and David Ornstein's mask slipping, revealing him to be another cartel shill on the gravy train we're most certainly not on my bingo card. This window feels like a fever dream that would even make Freddy Krueger wake up screaming

Thanks BBC, I was really wondering what Chris Kirkland made of the situation

Despite having a huge amout of fans from all over the country, every major national news outlet begging them to sign Isak all summer and then showering them with praise for being such shrew operators every time they sign a player, that fan base will still have you believe that the national media has an agenda against them. They have such a chip on their shoulder

Yeah Liverpool, go buy another one of Newcastle's striker targets, deplete your funds for a player you don't really want again and further strengthen Newcastles resolve to hold onto Isak. That power play worked so well for you last time.
